Even more potential good PR for Spurs then.
THFC agree to make VAR tech available for use at EVERY game at new WHL :

    1. irrespective of the competition under which Spurs are playing a game
    2. where not mandatory, subject to the consent of the visiting club

Now for #2, which clubs do you think are most likely to exercise their right to say no ...

I can think of a more obvious reason that Liverpool won't be showing replays at Anfield, to be honest.

One of my brother-in-laws was sent to 'Drivers Ed' for speeding. Last night, sat at the back of the class was a poorly disguised member of our squad. My B-in-L went over for a chat and he full on denied who he was, despite it being bloody obvious it was him.

The class was nowhere near where this player lives, I presume that he wanted to avoid being recognised. Oh well....<laugh>....

Did he need to Google somewhere to get a disguise?

Didn't know Danny Rose wore glasses.

On the subject of Danny Rose, I'm a little concerned to see him on the back pages again. From painful personal experience, dramatic statements like this tend to result from inner turmoil.

One of my brothers suffers from depression and schizophrenia and this kind of behaviour looks very familiar. As laudable as Danny's motives are, I'd counsel him to talk less to journalists and more to those who aren't looking to earn out of him. Supping with the devil is to be avoided, even by those of a strong constitution. When he's negotiating his next contract and what he's allegedly asking for is published, they may reprint his comments about being done with the game....and not in a good way. These people will sell their children for a story.

I trust that he's getting the best of advice and treatment for his mental health issues AND hope that he is listening to it.

I'm more concerned at how some people have chosen to interpret his comments...

Exactly. I wonder if the 'journalist' coaxed him to say that he was 'through' with the game. I doubt that it's true and can only harm him.

I agree he’s better off trying to speak to those who support him, rather than journalists. Then again he’s speaking on a matter which is getting a lot of attention right now (with the England incidents and what happened in Italy this week, etc.) and it’s one that he clearly feels strongly about and wants to have a voice on. I find it hard to deny him that, even if he could be better advised on how he communicates.

He’s gone through a torrid time off the pitch and struggled on it recently. His mental health issues are no joke and combined with his personal life and not performing on the pitch, it can’t be easy. As I’ve never had several thousand people racially abuse me I don’t really feel I can comment on how he should react to it, on top of everything else.

As far as his comments go I have forgiven him and am happy to see him getting better on the pitch too. As long as Poch is ok with him, I am. I was angry with Danny at the time he made his infamous Google comment but I’m prepared to move past that. I know others might not be and that’s fine, I guess we’ll have to disagree.

I'm not saying he should be mute. If he'd issued a statement condemning racism and its effects, no problem.

Then, we'd have no comments about what he spends on a night out or that he's through with the game. Journo's just want a headline. Giving them interviews is not good for him as they'll extract sensational stuff out of him. People with an axe to grind or a living to earn will use this stuff to beat him and he doesn't need it.

Danny Rose is refreshing in this day and age. He doesn’t mince his words and is honest as they come.

I don’t see how anyone can take his words and see it as anything except that football (as well as society) needs to sort out the issues of racism.

Yes he’s paid mega bucks but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel hurt when he’s racially abused while doing his job. I think the mental strain of it can be underestimated by people not in his position.

I think we both agree, he should be advised better, especially on his media engagements.

His agent told him not to do the "I know what I'm worth/Google new signings" interview. I should imagine that the advice hasn't changed much since. These ****ers are far too slippery for him and are best avoided.

He's done an Ashley Cole with that one comment and undermined his entire point, which is quite annoying.
You get what he's trying to say, but he sounds so out of touch and Marie Antoinette-ish (I know she didn't say it).
Racism should be punished more harshly, of course. Probably not the best day for this to come out: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47824250

Last season, he looked like he enjoyed some cake, or brioche or whatever she didn't say. Looks a lot more like Cassius these days.

As I've just said elsewhere, Rose has been putting up with this **** for years.

Note Raheem Sterling at the start.
