I'd go with: Gunn Maya Bednarek Stephens (unfortunately) Valery Romeu JWP Pierre Bertrand Armstrong Redmond
We really need to avoid letting Bednarek, Hojberg, Valery, and Redmond getting on the score sheet this game. We know how their scouting network operate. Start Austin and let him get a brace, wait for the £25 million bid in summer and we’re good to go.
Yep we had a few draws in there too - I think i did 7 threads on the trot...still a record I believe? Took us over to the next season.
With the Exception of Man City, we have done ok against the big six. Two wins, 2 draws and some right bad luck v utd is pretty good compared to last few seasons. This one though, for all sorts of reasons will be the sweetest. Up the ****ing saints
Apparently if the season was only 15 games in..i.e. when Ralph joined we would currently be 8th! we will not lose this.
We've proved that we can pick up results against the big boys under Ralph, we should give it a real go on Friday and try and get at their defence because we are the home team IMO. They are bound to be a bit nervous as well, nothing to lose and everything to gain I reckon
I'll be satisfied if we manage to put the wind up them and delighted if we take any points off of them.
Thanks to a fantastic couple of results it really takes the pressure off this. I’d love us to get something from this as much for our position as to upset Liverpools title challenge...but Liverpool are a class above AND they have to win. They can’t afford to take us lightly. We’ll need the perfect storm to get anything from the game. Here’s hoping!
It’s effectively a free hit now, thanks to the cracking result at the weekend. What a nice feeling, it’s been a long time since we have had that luxury!
Logistically Friday nights are a pain the arse, but a full stadium under the floodlights and that Friday feeling, it’s going to be exciting. Hopefully we can take them in at least level at half time and then you never know
It’s nice to know that relegation is truly in our own hands now........it would not surprise me if we got something out of this game. COYS
Gunn, Valery, Yoshida, Bednarek, Vestergaard, Bertrand, Romeu, Hojbjerg, Ward-Prowse, Redmond, Ings. 2-2...
