    4 more wins?!!

We'll do well to get 4 more points.

Hey Col - my glass is always half full. Just trying to be positive. I didn't see the game or hear it on radio as I was stuck in traffic..and only saw score when I got home. Disappointed as I though it was a home banker of 3 points.

Surely we’ll beat Bolton and then there’s well maybe we’ll beat Bolton 2-0

What's frustrating is that this is the team that beat Leeds and with some flourish. We know they can do it. Is it apathy now? Place a flame to their arses and I think they'll perform.

They've packed it in a bit early this season, I'd rather get safe before they think about their hols.

We sacked Ollie because he was our manager at the time.[emoji41]

I really do not know the answer to this question.

It seems that the management also do know as they have been unable to fix.

Bad luck is not the answer.

It is a pity we cannot play Leeds every week.

But seriously, since that match we have been playing poorly.

True, but we have the ability, desire has been lacking. I'd back them in a relegation battle, but some apathetic attitudes need to be addressed going forward

My memory of that game is that Freeman beat Leeds, he kind of pulled everyone else up a hack to get us the 3 points. He was outstanding that game, after he'd had an injury break the game before, but hasn't been near that the last 2 home games. Hope he more than anyone is fired up again today.

It always has been. And that is why it was a mistake to sack Holloway when we did. I don't say that because he is a brilliant manager and far superior to Maclaren but simply for what we need over the next two years, survival, he is as good an option and a damn sight cheaper. We would survive. The circumstances did not change at the end of last season when Holloway was told his services were no longer required. We had no money and the Board will have known for several weeks that the game was up on the FFS folly. The excuses trotted out about bringing on the youngsters proved to be false. Eze and Furlong were already first teamers. Others including Chair, BOS and Manning were all knocking on the door under Holloway. A disastrous start to the season and Maclaren's experiment with youth was over as he battened down the hatches with wily older pros. Our kids, supposedly the reason for recruiting a manager with a dubious track record, were all shipped out on loan to learn how to hoof the ball about in the lower leagues because for this season at least, they are surplus to requirements.

I still believe it would of best for the club to stay with Ian Holloway for 3 or more seasons

    We ain’t going anywhere anyway

I was fuming when a QPR man was sacked because of the fickle **** fan base we seem to have become. I was however completely wrong about the Oxbow Tit and give me massive credit for his improved team.

So fickle is this league that even now a few good performances we could still finish mid table ... it is completely ****ing possible as at times we have been brilliant on the pitch this season

We are completely capable of beating Norwich or anyone in our remaining games ... what team turns up is still the variable

This is not a time to change
We must have stability and a few seasons doing it

I am completely happy to finish mid table for the next three years and build up the squad again slowly to McClarens ideals

Only then will you see sustained growth as a club

This boom and bust of the fickle fans does my nut in ... we stumbled across a great team under Warnock and that was forged in history as the greatest **** up in football club management by a complete idiot in TF

We then got a second chance with HR who ruined the club completely imo

Now it’s time to shut up and put up and if you watch or go to games then that’s fine ... that what I have witnessed anyway over the last decade anyway

QPR needs to lie lie and slowly rebuild its image as we are still considered the laughing stock of recent football

We have people at the club who still care about the passion of the club ... it can only be rebuilt with foundations not dreams from idiots and fickle fans who blow like the wind

Can we just keep a manager for a couple of seasons ... lucky to have the tit let him work I say

Eze ... let him grow same as Symth have some practice it will come even if we drop down ... FFS we are lucky to be in the championship

The slippery slope started with injuries to Rangel and Cameron ...but we held it together because we had some soft matches and Luongo, Wszolek and Freeman were playing well
...but then Luongo went off...and we hit loads of difficult matches in a short time frame.

By the time he came back after essentially not playing AT ALL for a month our esteem had gone, our reserves had gone out on loan.

We have had a perfect storm of problems...

    Well that's my excuse...

Yes, thats true and then add to that some incredible amount of injury time defeats which take our self confidence
so down that its still hard recover. However that Hull match must give some self confidence back so im sure we could take those 5 or 6 points to avoid relegation. I dont think McClaren is a great manager but he has had a mountain of injuries and bad luck and yes, i still think hes better than ollie....

Why does anyone think we will be relegated this season
    Plenty of **** below us
    Next season
    Now that's a different story
I will have forty or fifty on the drop for sure
Might get some of the money I will lose on a promotion bet this season
Looked like wasted money then I was searching for the betting slip in November

I'm really not sure who is the better Manager of Ollie and McClaren. I suppose how we do in these remaining crunch games that will determine if we get relegated, stay up just, or move up to mid-table, will help me to decide that!

Easy way to tell, points total at the end of the season. Ollie got 53 then 56. Hair Island still has some way to go, but will probably escape relegation even with a lower total.

Every season we have a mountain of injuries and bad luck especially away from home when we go long periods without being able to win - the squad is inadequate to withstand the physical rigours of a full season so no point blaming the manager at the time for the hand dealt to him by dishonest owners. Every season we also have some real highs as well as the many lows. It's the "new season, time to try someone new" mentality that we need to get rid of. Especially when the new man is always proclaimed as a saviour and miracle worker. Nobody can build a successful team under those conditions.

    This is really quite damning
    https://talksport.com/football/efl/520627/steve-mcclaren-sacked-ian-holloway-qpr-manager/

McClaren, earworming the chairman (was that Fernandez or was it Amit at that time?)
McClaren promising to do all the things Ollie had been asked to do (bring on the kids, play our home grown players)...and then not doing it.
SLF not wanting Ollie to be sacked (so again it was a board decision...as Hoos does not make football decisions, only financial decisions).

I can see why Ollie is upset
