Yes, we know that if it comes down to wages that we can’t, or aren’t stupid enough, to pay the sort of money he’s reputably on at Real.
He still follows Spurs results and has an affinity with the club. I very much doubt we’d get him as he doesn’t come across as the sort to take a big pay cut to play, even for his old club. I don’t think he wants to leave Madrid, so we’ll see what happens.
