It's a lovely part of the world ... first time I ate in the company restaurant a ****ing deer trotted past outside the window ... I kid you not ... my gob just hung open
I know .. which is why I made the jest (which it was) about popping around to see your missus ... if you fancy a beer of an early evening in Weybbridge (or close by) let me know ...
Weybrige, I've still got the scar where 3 brave ****s rammed my face into the grill of a range rover.. Mind it was fun, at least i got blood first, the soft ****s. St George's hill is a bit swanky.
I lived further east in Woldingham. We used to get deer in the garden ( eat all my apples on year!), on the road, etc. Almost had an almighty smash early one morning as I was on my way to the station and a deer suddenly sprinted out of a garden and straight across the road. They were getting to be a real nuisance and there was talk of a cull.
I've still got a scar on my top lip from when a bouncer knocked me sparko outside the Chertsey Lock nightclub! Fun times. You ever go in the Holly Tree pub?
The Queen's Head? The Ship is still there. Weybridge is a funny place in that there is a lot of money in the area but the pubs and restaurants are very hit and miss.
Yeah, must be Queens Head. Near a river/stream IIRC? Could even be the Wey, although I always remember it not being much more than a ditch!
Yeah it’s down by The Wey. It’s a White Brasserie nowadays (Brasserie Blanc group). Started out really well, pretty average now.
I drive down that cut through most days - alongside the canal - feels rather weird coz the canal level 'appears' higher than the road itself ... think it's just an optical illusion but the first day I drove that way I had to do a right double take
Aye I have no doubt the cost will incorporate much more palatial amenities for them. Fcking schools take the piss! I've told him to make sure he gets laid, it'll make me feel like the cost was worthwhile.
