Hull did well to get 12. Biggest laugh was after, listening to Blunderside and some thicko coming on complaining and saying that days of Arthur Bunting were great.
Thing was the guy hadn't been to the game and sounded as if he hadn't been for about 20 years.
Blunderside make me laugh. Taking calls from clowns who actually don't go to the game, because usually they are looking after the 'bairns'. Its always been like that with City.

Under Buntin fc were playing in a league one up from a pub league.
One horse towns on either side of the M62.
It was like Hull City playing in the Yorkshire Amateur League every week. No wonder they went a full season unbeaten.
Suppose it was great winning by a cricket score every week. No comparison to seeing your team win away at Arsenal and Tottenham though is it ?

I suspect if we had a manager who got us out of the second tier in his first season(winning every game), then kept us in the top flight for the rest of his six year tenure (including winning it), we’d look back on it rather fondly as well.

    1978/79

    Rovers won Div 1
    Hull won Div 2
    City 8th in 3rd tier

The start of some tough times when hot water in the concourse was not a concern.

There was always hot water in the toilets behind Kempton.

You wouldn't want to wash your hands in it though.

No-one is disputing that fc fans remember Arthur Buntin's reign with fondness because they were winning and success breeds success. But much has been made about their unbeaten season in the second tier of RL when West Hull ARLC could have fared just as well at that level. Fc can only beat what was put in front of them and in that era the second tier of RL was one up from a pub league. Fc shouldn't have been at that level to start with.
It wasn't easy being a Hull City supporter during those times as a few of us on here remember only too well. They will understand my point.

A Premiership win for Rovers that season would have been a nice win double too but they went out in their first match of the series.

Wasn't Roger Millward more successful at Rovers eclipsing Arthur Buntings reign at FC during that era?

We now have 'Roger Millward Way' on Hedon Road.

As far as I know there is no Arthur Bunting Plaza or Arthur Bunting Expressway.

    It'll come.

Some desperate corporation ploy to ingratiate itself with potential voters.

    Mike Bore Road anyone?

Trade suppliers this morning, two blokes in front of me,
    Topic of conversion, THE DERBY.
'Massive' FC fan...'I'm watching it in West Bulls, great atmosphere in there.....
Rovers fan....'I'll be in Pursey's, few of us going in early doors'
'Massive' FC fan, 'Yeah, few of us too, gonna book a table later, great crac in there, just like been at the game.....'
When going to City/football is just like going in 'all you can eat for £2.99' West Bull's, I'll chuck it. ( me)
    Divided city my arse.

Which is why it'll be lucky to scrape 20k, when that's the attitude of some fans

Ok, maybe there is a reason for that. Can't get 2 seats together in the lower bowl, only west upper (given the segregation at north-east corner

Given the circumstances that our club finds itself in and what's gone on on the last few years, yes it is.
