One born every minute sorry I was missing sparkey on the Leeds page so just popped by. You know when you have a dog that comes along and ****s on your lawn every morning, and then he doesn't come for a week, and you think, wonder where he is today !!! Well that's how I was missing sparkey, fine now, seen one post you can keep him.
Surely the officials get paid to get decisions right? Especially the big ones. Total fail on that today. Do they get disciplined for incompetence?
What beats me is that the league is riddled with poor officiating. Surely they should be learning from their mistakes. I know it's a tough job and sometimes things are difficult to call, but there was nothing difficult in that offside and to my mind, at least one penalty shout. I agree BfB, there should be some form fine for being so careless. Probably too late for that now with VAR looming for next season. It's all so frustrating when that level of carelessness could cost a Premiership place and have implications at the other end of the table.
Dont be daft. They get paid to ensure the status quo is met and that the big teams win. It's always been the same with them.
Just like the Swans Cardiff were robbed today by the Officials.....Something needs to be done when blatant decisions are so obviously wrong and always favour the big sides. It is happening far to often to be a coincidence and it is costing the club a lot of money.....It is cheating by the officials and it is not fair.....
Not funny Mart. Appalling decisions, or lack of them, like that could well cost us £100m +, players will leave the club who we would want to keep, we will be unable to sign new players of the quality we want, the whole financial structure of the club will need to be reassessed and it is likely club employees will lose their jobs. I know it is not all down to today and if we go down it is an accumulation of better sides than us, poor play and decisions by us and dreadful officiating plus many other factors. However we all recognise this was a key game for us against a Chelsea side which has not done very well lately. They were there for the taking. We went into the game with the right attitude, matched them and got the goal we deserved. We then defended to the full extent of our ability while still being dangerous on the break. All torn apart by a horrible decision not made. We would still have had another 15 minutes of defending to do and may not have survived but if we had conceded later hopefully it would have been an honest goal. VAR would have cancelled that goal and possibly seen the defender get a red card later. I will reserve judgement on the penalties until I see MotD2. Finally, how the Donald Duck did we amass 7 minutes of added time when the twice players needed attention on the pitch didn't see long treatment periods?
Another case of a "small" club not getting the big calls go in their favour. Burnley Udders Brighton We've all suffered at the hands of officials that are clearly overawed by our supposedly illustrious opponents. Did you notice how many Chelski players had words with the ref when Rudiger and Bruno had their little set to in our box? Watching the game back tonight I counted at least 5 different players have a word. HALF their bloody team getting in the refs ear over something innocuous. Then you get Hazard. Fair play to the guy, incredible player and basically dragged Chelski into the game (with help from the officials of course) but when you see him just stop and hold his hands out after the merest of touches from Pelts and the ref buys into it... its a joke. I don't dispute Hazard gets kicked to death but at least wait till he's actually fouled before deciding in his favour. It's ****e like this is the reason I can't stick the Premier League. It really is all geared towards helping the so called big clubs.
Occasionally they get shunted to the lower league for a few games. That joke of a lino and that terrible ref will just wake up tomorrow and plan their next games without caring how many thousands of fans they’ve narked off. Plus how much money they’ve potentially cost CCFC.
So frustrating as a fan. 30,000 people know its wrong but there is not a thing you can do about it! The big errors (if they were that and not just cheating) are there for all to see. I thought the tone was set in the first 5 or 10 mins when Murphy had a break away and was brought down by Jorginho. If that was Gunnar or Arter on Willian or Hazard we all know it would have been a yellow straight away. No matter how well we are playing these little things going against you all through the game gradually wear you down.
Thanks Chesh - nice to know you've missed me. I'll pop across for a chat at some point - maybe when you lose in the playoffs.
I can't believe he's got a lawn.....nor that a dog would **** on it. More likely to be a Leeds supporter.
No need to be hostile because your Cardiff buddy's are around, you usually say what a joy it is to see Leeds playing such good football after the rubbish you watch in Cardiff.
Not being at all hostile Chesh and I have said it's been a pleasure to watch some of your games this season compared with some of our crap. Now feck off.........
I think you're right to point out that other clubs towards the bottom have had to suffer similar situations. I don't know if it's by design, but ithere certainly seems to be an awful lot of kowtowing by officials toward the "elite" clubs. I've no doubt that the media also contribute to the injustices by treating outbursts by top six managers as reasonable complaints whereas anything from the lower clubs is treated as predictable rants. Football is supposed to be a game for the people and since we pay to have the officials in place, the least we should expect is impartiality. "Rant" over.
