I'm not sure if it's small club mentality...in football psychology is half the battle.

Mulling this one over all day. I'd be ok with a draw. A defeat does technically leave top 4 in our hands but only on GD and a gap of 5 (or fewer) simply isn't enough to rely on in any significant way. A draw keeps our noses ahead of United. I know it means Woolwich move above us, but perhaps that could serve as a crucial motivator for one big push towards the end of the season. They have a bunch of tricky away games sandwiched by their Napoli clash. After tomorrow we have 2 away games and 5 in the new stadium. I'm hopeful we can overhaul them again.

    It is.

A win tomorrow is purely business for THFC.
What it does to the Poool, or some hack Narrative (TM) ,
    is utterly irrelevant.

    3.30pm
Bizarre starting line up and/or formation announced.

    4.30pm
    Game kicks off

    4.33pm
A standard spurs error at the back leading to a sloppy goal. 1-0.

    4.46pm
Spurs score a scrappy goal involving a debatable goal line clearance, but the battery in the ref’s goalline technology watch is dead, so we aren’t awarded the goal. Score remains at 1-0.

    4.59pm
Salah dives and Liverpool get a penalty. Hugo sits on his arse and watches it roll in to the corner. 2-0.

    Half time: 2-0.
    Second half kicks off.

    5.35pm
Liverpool turn their attention to Trippier and he’s repeatedly torn a new one down our right hand side. Mane skins him before slotting a 5 yard pass for Firmino to tap in. 3-0

    5.37pm
Dele loses his **** and has a bust up with Van Dijk, who falls to the floor holding his face. Dele gets sent off.

    5.45pm
Spurs enjoy an 8 minute spell of repeatedly playing the ball to Kane to hold up, but he’s marked by 2 CB’s and is dispossessed repeatedly. Spurs can’t get out their half. Fans crying out for some changes.

    5.51pm
Eriksen!!!!!!! A goal out of nothing. Spurs fans all in total shock, as they’d genuinely forgot he was on the pitch. 3-1.

    5.52pm
Goal Liverpool. Spurs completely switch off at the back. After replays, Firmino is offside but the goal still stands. 4-1.

    6.03pm
Kane goes down holding his ankle. The same one he’s had problems with. Stretcher onto the pitch. Doesn’t look good.

    6.05pm
Liverpool pass the ball around whilst listening to YNWA from the fans. Possession at 81%-19% to the home team.

    6.18pm
After 3 unnecessarily added minutes, the game ends. 4-1 Liverpool. The scousers get their revenge over the Wembley scoreline from last season.
Spurs fans wonder what has gone wrong in the last few weeks and are now facing the likelihood of the Ropey League.

Ion Mothers Day 2014 we played Liverpool at Anfield on Sky TV in the 4pm kick off.
A kaboul OG after 3 mins was the 1st in a 4 nil Liverpool win.

    Just saying like<whistle>

OMG!!!! I was already having a problem about it on Mothers’ Day: do I dare to turn on the TV!??
Now I have a serious double dilemma, after reading this narrative! Do I dare? Do I dare?
Tune in tomorrow to find out, folks!
I’m always buoyed up by the memory of sitting alone in a bar in Menorca, and seeing us beat the Pule on my birthday in mid-August. The waiters had never heard of Spurs back then! We have progressed! So nil desperandum, eh, chaps?

We don't have many happy memories of Anfield and Mane v Trippier or Davies is such mismatch that it's giving me nightmares already.

I would definitely take a point at this time.

Need everyone to up their game today, neither side are in the greatest form Pool keep getting over the line though, like we did for a bit, but we must keep it tight to start, no brainfarts in the first15/30 mins and then a repeat of either of the Dortmund performances would be good today

Not sure about replays showing Liverpool's goal to be offside. Normally their offside goals are so blatant a blindman down a coal mine could see them. In addition to these events you haven't mentioned the early yellow card for one of our defenders for their first tackle, thus hampering their defending for the rest of the game. Also that after the game, the pundits mention that although having less weight than a fly landing on his shoulder, Salah was "entitled" to go down because "he felt the contact". When Kane fails to get a pen under much more obvious circumstances, the same pundits point out that contact "wasn't enough for me". Poch then comes down from the stands to point out that the ref hasn't been consistent and gets banned to the stands for the next season.

    I want a draw today.
    Failing that a Spurs win.
Yes, I would sooner see Utd's top 4 chances dented than Liverpool's chances of winning the league improved.

You forgot Klopp punches Martin Atkinson to the ground, Atkinson apologises and as a result, Poch gets a 10 match touchline ban.
The match is suspended 23 minutes in as Klopp calls for a lawn mower.
Sonny receives the ball 40 yards inside his own half, runs the length of the field and scores, only for his goal to be chalked off for offside.
Hugo gives away a penalty and is sent off for deliberate handball in the area.
The Liverpool groundsmen excavate the six yard box that Spurs will be defending in the second half to a depth of three metres at half time.

Sonny on the bench, I guess he must be feeling the effects of his international travel. I’m having nightmares about that midfield already. Liverpool look pretty much full strength apart from Matip instead of Gomez.
