Don't get hangovers, but don't drink lots of pints. Had a couple of Negronis on Friday, a halftime beer at theatre, some wine with dinner, and maybe a third of a bottle of Bourbon at a party. And that was starting at 6 finishing at 3am. Few bumps too, which mean you get less pissed and less hungover next day. I've nixxed the ***s for two months now, just the odd burn. Yesterday just had one glass of wine all day as with nipper, beer with curry dinner; and then some mescal before a half a pill at The Orb and then some rum at a house party. Maybe half a bottle tops, from midnight to 3am. Last proper hangover I had was after big session and very little sleep the night before Gerrard bottled it against France in Euro 2004; felt like **** at the game. Haven't had one since; that was cans of **** lager
The sun was shining, And i become a lady. I hibernate through the winter on the Guinness and Red wine.
The Japs did a study and found that something in the drink Sprite has the best hangover cure, it HAS to be sprite, not any old lemonade. I'll try and find the study. EDIT: just a quick google and this was from a Chinese study https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2449692/SPRITE-best-cure-hangover.html
Anyone found a cure yet? Went out for a lunch for Mothers Day, had a few vino's and a G&T, had an afternoon snooze and am now hung over again.
The only cure for a day time hangover is to keep drinking til you feel better then start drinking water to prevent a hangover tomorrow.
Don't get them, despite how ****ered i get. Seems i had a few yesterday but was up at 8, bacon sarnie, large mug of coffee. actually 3. Done some painting for a few hours. Then been out to watch the game, Half a dozen pints, now at home with some cans. Ive already cooked a pizza and homemade chips. And i'll be right as rain for work tomorrow.
I found in the medicine cupboard effervescent electrolyte tablets. Had one of those and ibuprofen and I’ve been fine all afternoon. Even manage to cook a roast.
I drink an unhealthy amount of coffee in the mornings. But sometimes i do opt for tea. Well it's fluid ain't it, and all those who have said water, well they are correct.
Right, three glasses of Rioja and the day time hangover is now gone. Just hope I don't get a morning one, I'm up at five!
On a hangover I drink tea. Normal working day drink coffee til lunchtime then onto tea. Too much coffee is bad for my guts so drink more tea lately.
In other way round apart from the hangover bit. I can't function in the morning without two cups of tea in me. Hangover or not, same every day. I drink coffee afternoon.
Tea and coffee are both grim. Maybe this is why I don't get hangovers actually, I reckon I must drink about 10 pints of water a day at least, I'm always super hydrated and if a hangover is just dehydration then 15 pints of thatchers isn't enough to dry me out
That's good thinking, and a lot of it is about water. Mind you could still drink 20 pints of water in a day, then have a bottle of some ****ty stuff like whisky, and be a total wipeout the next day.
