Another match sat through with nothing but sheer numbness. And there's been quite a few of them. Straight from the off the game went something like this ...
QPR have the ball, QPR give the ball away to Bolton who in turn give it back to QPR who return the ball back to Bolton who give it to QPR who pass it back to a Bolton player and so forth.
There was a brief five minute spell in the first half with a flurry of chances on their goal, but none were taken. The writing was on the wall.

The one positive from the game was that I was starving and missed their first goal while purchasing a 1/2 pounder cheeseburger.

BOS played well in patches and Wells took his goal well but as for the rest of them, shockingly poor is being too polite. The end to this season can't come soon enough. I don't look forward to going down the Rangers anymore. It really has become a chore. I've got to the point that I wished we could have more international breaks. I'll still be there for the next game though.

Oh, and then to top the afternoon off I left the ground and got in my cab - I'm back driving a black cab part-time after retiring from the fire brigade - and I get a booking come through to South Africa Road, Players Entrance. When I get there it's no other than ex Ranger and Bolton player Gary O'Neil with his wife and kids in his Bolton Wanderers tracksuit. He's actually a really nice and friendly bloke and we spoke about his season at the R's which he really enjoyed, and his play-off final sending off which he thought was his best game for us. His wife ( Donna ) is an interior designer and is off around Charlie Austin's house on Monday to sort out his furnishings with his wife Bianca.

I asked him about what is it like going back to a club that you've played for, is it a run of the mill pro thing or is their any emotional attachment to it? He said he really enjoyed it, not just because of the win but because of the reception from the staff and also the home fans. He spent quite a bit of time doing autographs and selfies with QPR fans before getting in.

He also said that the ref came into their dressing room at half time to apologise for not awarding them a penalty after a foul by Rangel. I can't remember who their player was but I said to him that to me it looked like their player fouled Rangel. He said that the ref watched it back on video and said it should've been a penalty and was sorry for not spotting it.

    Bloody football eh?

Nice story Rich. Tx for sharing.
Looked at the remaining fixtures. They are all games we usually lose!
    Can't see 44 being enough.
The players need to step up big time.
    Was Leistner injured?
MAYBE we'll be better with Cameron and Leistner back.
Lots of straw clutching and squeeky bum time.

I'm not sure mate, it doesn't seem to matter who we put on the pitch at the moment. We were crying out for Rangel to comeback and he was awful. We couldn't wait for Luongo to return and he was bad and then there's Joel Lynch. I was singing his praises earlier in the season saying that he was like a new signing but since the turn of the year everything has imploded. His attempted passes were going into row z of Ellerslie this afternoon and at one point his control of the ball went five yards from him but as he tried to retrieve it he knocked into touch. It defied belief and was so comical you almost felt sorry for him. The thing for me is, is that they're all trying but it's just not happening. It's a bit like watching Huddersfield who've just been relegated but not in the same way we did a few season's ago. They tried to stay up and gave it their all but fell short and you could see that they were hurting today as opposed to Bosingwa walking off laughing when we got relegated at Reading.

Anyway mate what you doing on here when you're in Australia. You should be trying to enjoy yourself and forgetting about the R's and not depressing yourself. I hope you're having a great time down under mate. Enjoy!

Crikey, I've just realised the time and we lose an hour's sleep tonight due to the clock's going forward and I've got my mum coming over tomorrow for a mother's day roast ( stop chuckling at the back ) bless her. Time for bed. Enjoy the rest of your time in Aus Naz, Urss.

No post match comment from Stroller which is a worry!

Very bold to say we won't go down. I looked at the fixtures before yesterday and said that this was our last winnable game of the season. What might keep us up is Rotherham not being able to muster the points to catch us as I think the ones between us will all overtake us.
Confidence is at a desperate low. We will lose the next two and wins from teams below us will heap the pressure on. We are in danger.

If you sat through 90 minutes of dross like yesterday you wouldn't be saying that, with Schteeve's mindset at present we're like a rabbit caught in the headlights, a nasty end is in store...

Seeing he's paid by Bolton, was he able to pay for his taxi?

Surprised the Ref is supposed to have told Bolton he should have given them a pen for that. From the replays it looked to me like Rangel got between their man and the ball and he pulled Rangel down. The commentators thought the same, all R eyes though.

Really depressing read through this thread this morning. I have hope as there are four teams between us and relegation, and I'd be shocked if all of them managed at least one win, and for some three wins, and we ended up with nothing. I know I'm not able to get to games and see how bad it really is (respect to those who are able to, and choose to at the moment) but we have to remember the teams below us aren't good teams who will string winning runs together.

My greater worry is next year, because obviously if we carry this form, and players are as poor from the start of next year we stand no chance. I don't want yet another change, I'm so fed up of our club going through managers. Ends up at the same old question, is the answer a change of manager, or does the fact that successive managers have come and failed, indicate that there is a deeper problem that needs to be dealt with before a manager can come in and succeed?

BOS did great on the wing but never looked like he would score or find a Hoop with his final pass if we were still playing now. Early on a great flick on from Hemed I think, put him right through on goal, but he fell over and that about summed up the afternoon. Not all BOS fault though, we didn't seem to get midfield players into the box to support Hemed until Smith and then Wells came on. Freeman, Luongo, Scowen all below par.

Wouldn't worry about next year- this year is bad enough. Whatever we think individually about Maclaren he will be gone because our owners have form - they just left it too late this season for their usual mid-season makeover. And we wonder why the money runs out?

If we were three points ahead of Rovrum rather than eight he’d have been gone a while ago. Honestly think we’ll get 2-4 more points and stay up by default.

I think Schteeve was signed on a three year contract which wouldn't have been a cheap one considering his status as an ex England manager, so he can happily continue to sleepwalk towards the trapdoor knowing he's got another fat paycheque heading his way for failure. I really do despair at the way we have gone during the eight years of TF's ownership, from a Premier League dawn to possibly where we were 52 years ago only with a much crappier team and no prospect of improving any time soon.

Glad there will be plenty of booze flowing today at a family dinner, I need something to anaesthetise me after yesterday's bollox...

Playing what ammounts to a 4-5-1 at home against Bolton is totally unacceptable.
I didn't see the game and therefore can't comment on how SM deployed the shape and formations.
England play 4-3-3 to devastating effect, but obviously have the players to do it.
An immobile lump like Hemed is never going to work, unless like you say we play someone up with him.
Problem is we would then be totally over run in midfield and also our full backs, who are so important these days are very poor.

I think it all comes back to the fact that our players are really not very good.
