    Ashton was quiet like, Foden seemed the best player to me like. Think we were very lucky to win as Argentina were the better for most of the game. Also think that Wilkinson is past it at that level and we'd be better with Toby Flood in the team.

    Cbrad - You look at Wilko with ball in hand and defensively and he was superb. It was a shame his kicking at goal was ****e. To be fair though the Argentinian kicking is ****e too so does that mean the environment of the stadium effected them both?

    Yes but you knew in 2003 that if we had 7 penalties he score with at least 6. Don't get me wrong supporting Newcastle I have a lot of time for the guy and was as pleased as 99% of the country.

    Yeah but Flood will not be any better. Wilko is the best we have at no. 10 at the moment.

    I think England play far better with Flood at 10.

    Wilkinson is great defensively, but his kicking game is pretty much all he has in his locker at the top level which is why England do struggle attacking wise against decently organised defences.

    He is still a good player, but IMO he lacks that bit of flair that a Flood can offer.

    Flood has been found out though. Since SA last autumn every team knows how to play against him hence why we were **** against Scotland and Ireland in the 6N. You close him down quickly and put a lot of pressure on him he doesn't know what to do.

    & Wilkinson must look for touch 80% of ball he gets! All players have weaknesses, I think England play far better when they have flair at 10 which Wilkinson doesn't have IMO. He is not able to be creative through the running game which makes England very one dimensional.

    You have to look at it this way too. Flood always has Youngs at his inside. Wilko has had Care (**** box kicker) or wigglesworth (slow ball master). When Youngs and Wilko partnered up they looked good.
