I'd say that if anybody underperformed, it would be Webber in not locking out the front row.

The fact they both aborted their second runs suggests they didn't get the most from the car, if they'd done perfect first runs they wouldn't have gone out again. I wouldn't say they let the team down though, they both got a decent lap in and a strong grid position.

When I went to school I was told there were 10 tenths to a second that means 5 tenths makes up half a second, but obviously I was taught incorrectly because now it turns out that 2 tenths is more than 5 tenths, the bastards!! you wait till I see my old maths teacher!!! I'll give him what for you see if I don't.

I never said they were quick enough to take pole. My point was that they could have gone quicker and nearly got beaten by Alonso due to their failure to extract the maximum performance from the car.

Im still not sure why Ferrari aren't with it this weekend. Home track, right temperature, right tyres. Maybe they're just going for a full race set up.

So what you're saying is that Alonso underperformed in not capitalizing on their inept performance. The slacker! :p

That may or may not be true but I reckon Vettal didn't get the best out his car either, there was clearly another couple of tenths left in it.

When did you last see the perfect lap? I know who did it and where but lets see if you can say when it was, and who it was.

There is no such thing as a "perfect lap". But Alonso and Vettel are getting most out of their cars this year. Its very easy to say its the car, but alot of it is Vettel, this time last year Webber had 4/5 wins, now he has 0. There is a reason
