Something of a chicken-and-egg thing with their players, too. Can argue that they have to remain dull because the more flair-ful players they've brought in for substantial money (Jahanbakhsh, Locadia) have been non-entities. But you could also argue that they're non-entities because Brighton has spent a tonne of money on attacking talent, and then chosen to play a suffocating style that suits no one beyond Glenn Murray.
Have you ever seen Chris Hughton's teams before? He gets results but the football is far from thrilling. He'll get away with it for a while but once people get comfortable in the PL and want to see a bit more than just scraping by with efficient football, he'll run out of time eventually. (I think someone else in this thread alluded to the same thing)
Interesting opportunity here for Gallagher. Perform well, and he could find himself starting against Liverpool (someone will have to replace Ings on Friday).
Developing an annoying tendency to punt long, given that Brighton isn't really pressing our midfield. If Brighton had any interest in attacking whatsoever, that might pose a problem for us.
Baffled that we decided to live in our own half as soon as Ings went off. Even Brighton can be induced to attack if you cede half the pitch and all the ball to them.
