I had a debate with one or two scousers that they’d prefer a title playing football like Mourinho than no title and playing football like Klopp. Obviously they said Klopp and no title. I wonder if those same scousers would change their view now given that the pressure is so intense and it looks like Klopp’s Heavy Metal football is going to fall short to a proper tactical genius. They’re going to be inconsolable if they **** this up.
No doubt it will send the Twitter cabbages and Astro into a summer-long meltdown but the potential of that squad is impressive** **until Madrid come and snaffle up the forwards.
I see that squad stretched to its limits right now, it’s thin and has very little bite in midfield, despite us all being told that the PL isn’t ready for Keita yet. If they go this entire season losing just one game and still blow the title then it just shows the lack of depth to turn draws into wins.
Pretty much. I think we will strengthen and improve certain areas, but there is no denying just how superior citys squad is.
Personally, I think either is just as capable of having a brainfart at any given time. City have shown that a couple of months ago, either through complacency or tiredness. I have to say, I don't think the complacency tag can be labelled at the Livpl players which is probably my greatest concern
Whether Liverpool win, or don't win the title, this season. I think they'll blow everybody away, next season. It's a very young and very impressive team which will only come on stronger for this season.
They have a good set of players and very good manager. Psychologically it'll be a massive blow though if they miss out again. Especially for Liverpool. They didn't recover well after the same thing happened in 2009 and 2014. The manager's better though, he's the type to just carry on improving them.
Aguero has scored as many for City as Henry did for Arsenal, in 46 less games. He’s not as good though, no.
