Cameron thought the remain vote would win, which is why he resigned after leave won, however, I think he played a dirty card when T May took over as he knew she was a remainer. When leave won the referendum, we voted to leave the EU. We didn't vote to leave with a deal, or part deal, we voted to leave and cut all ties with the EU. All this "voters didn't know what they were voting for" or "voters didn't have enough information" is all bullshit created by leavers and leave politicians, they're just scraping the barrel looking for some unjustified excuse to try and get a 2nd referendum, and they've come up with quite a few lame excuses. Now, they're saying May is going to try and put her deal before Parliament a 4th time. Somewhere along line, someone is going to say enough, we leave the EU with no deal. On a separate note, as a comparison, 2016, H Clinton was suppose to be a shoe in for the Presidential Elections in America, was said the Dems had put the fix in, but lost. 2016, Cameron believed remaining in the EU was a shoe in when he called a referendum, he lost. Was said Cameron and Co had put the fix in. The Dems have been after Trump with lies and false accusations since his Election win. Trying desperately to impeach him. May and Co have been lying and deceiving the people since the leave referendum win. Trying desperately to keep us in the EU. The Mueller report took 2 years and they found no collusion with Trump and Russia. May has been putting her deal together for 2 years, and keeps losing. Is it a coincidence that these things have been happening to both America and Britain at same time? Is it a coincidence that Trump (according to interpretation) is in the Bible as becoming the free world leader. Is it a coincidence that Brexit (according to interpretation) is in the Bible, and will happen. Is it a coincidence that the Populists voters around the world have / are rising up and pushing out the corrupt Governments aligned with Soros and the NWO. Food for thought?
Funny enough I was thinking about this part as I was driving around this morning. With so many lies told on both sides did not one remainer politician not spell it out what a no deal Brexit would mean, it's a genuine question, I just can't see that nobody pointed out what a no deal would entail? As I see it nobody really knows what will happen with a no deal Brexit, we don't know if we'll strike a good deal with the likes of America or Australia, we don't know if Europe will come running back to the table, we have no idea how good or bad it will be. Those unhappy with the state of the country and wanting change (myself included) voted for Brexit. If we manage to get a hard Brexit and make a go of it like I am sure we would then watch others follow, Germany and France will be up in arms with increased taxes covering the losses, they won't have the financial clout to keep bailing out the likes of Greece.
Cameron actually thought he would need to form another coalition with the Lib Dems and that they would block the referendum, all opinion polls had it too tight to call. Then those wanting a referendum came out in force and shocked the nation as the Conservatives smashed it with many UKIP voters also voting Conservative and the Lib Dems were all but destroyed. When we voted Brexit the Conservative party still never put 2+2 together and thought ahh that's why we smashed it at the polls, it was all down to the referendum promise so Teresa May in her ignorance and self importance thought right, I don't want to be handed leadership, I want to win it at the polls and see if we can increase the majority but she was ignorant, we already had what we wanted, the vote to leave Europe so the voting at the elections went like it did previously and corrected itself leaving her in a mess. I think UKIP lost 10% of it's voters at the last election after Farage left and it went too much right wing, Corbyn played a blinder in attracting new student votes and May was left with egg on her face
You may well be right Ristac, but I remember it was being said, some time after the referendum that the vote had been fixed in favour of remain, but a lot of remainers didn't vote cos they thought remaining was a sure fire thing. Being said May might put her deal forward a fourth time, also being said she might now go to the polls, where she'll definitely lose. Some have said there's a court case going on cos the extension was illegal, was said by some on the videos too.......know anything about that Ristac?
So on a pist when I says remainers whinging was sour grapes. You tell me my problem is eating sour grapes.
No Deal, as I see it, would be like pulling a sticking plaster off quickly. A moment's pain and then recovery. May's idea is to pull the plaster off slowly and painfully until the patient gets fed up and shouts "STOP, ENOUGH".
Of course Cameron thought remain would win. Do people think we had a referendum because he wanted the people to decide? The sole reason we had a referendum was so Cameron could derail UKIP, and pick up their votes. He put personal gain and party politics ahead of what he believed (remain) was the best interests of the country. His advisers said he couldn’t lose. They misjudged the mood if the country and it backfired on them big time. The self serving pr*ck gambled the future of the country for personal gain. And that will be his legacy.
No one knows do they. The only safe bet with brexit was that there would initially be economic pain. 5 years, 10 years, time who knows where we’ll be. Whether that Pain is a ‘moment’ depends on your definition. The irony is usually those on a tight budget who feel economic downturn the most... and figures say most of them voted leave.
A NO DEAL would be like pulling a sticking plaster off quickly, a moment's pain then recovery. May's idea is to pull the plaster off slowly and painfully until the patient screams "Enough, OK, you win".
Ok you've convinced me,dbc,20/20 and milkybar I no longer think you've been talking **** for 2 years and will be pushing for remain and a second, third, fourth and fifth vote on it,as it's the democratic thing to do.I also accept that using the Norwich counting hand 300 MPs is more than 17 million citizens.
