    I remember the day we put a bid in the for the lad. Do you think he would have been the player he is today if he signed for us?

    On current form he is in the top 5 players in the world easy, I think he would be nowhere near what he is today if he signed for us.

    He would still have been a decent player if he signed for Newcastle but he become world class because of Fergie and the way he and the coaching team developed him.

    He actually looked better in his Everton days and when he first joined us. He just seemed more exciting somehow, maybe it was seeing such talent in such a young player.

    I've had a feeling since before the first match that this may be a hell of a season for him though. Looks like it's coming into fruition already. Could be more excitement for you lot on the way.

    At the time I always thought the agent did this to flush out ManU. Not really sure that we would have landed him.

    The Modric visit to SJP was another example.............

    At the time I really thought we were going to get him I was so excited then Man Utd came in and destroyed my dreams. I never thought Modric was going to sign

    I think there was to much pressure with Ronaldo leaving with Nani and Young playing so well this has freed him up
