Outside of Sunderland and Portsmouth, I doubt anybody gives a flying fook. There's even a section of both teams fans that don't seem particularly bothered about it.
I'm on the Megabus from Carmarthen and wore my Sunderland cap from the car park to the bus station ... ... three different people wished me luck and this is rugby country. London will be a great place to be over the next few days.

Went fir a run this morning and there were a couple of geordies at the parkrun in Chester le street saying it’s a nothing cup etc. And taking the piss generally about it. Soon shut up when I asked what their last cup was I will be genuinely gutted if we don’t win tomorrow. I know how important the league is but winning a cup competition, for any fan, is a massive thing!!
Just going for the day mate. Would have loved to have spent the weekend there but for other reasons it wasnt poss this time.
