Please don't take this as a piss take. This is a genuine opinion on this subject <ok>

    1) Your badge looks like its the winning entry into a art competition in the under 5 category.

    2) As pointed out by a few of you already, since when is the front of the robin been red from the face down to the ass?

    3) To me, the robin look like the letters BS. The person who designed this, have they tried to be clever by making it look like the initials for Bristol Sport? Clever thinking if that is the case to make the robin part of the Bristol Sport franchise. But it has made the robin look stupid though with the red front from the face down to the ass.

    4) Apart from the dodgy looking robin, I think it looks ok. Bold and simple like what some others have done, ie Brentford.

    5) But there is an obvious mistake that im surprised none of you have noticed! 1894??? Surely it should be 1982 when your new club was formed (not my words but its the words from your very own official site in the history section). Or even 2012 date when Bristol Sport were founded?

    <ok>

Makes you want to ask if anyone got paid to come up with this, but I'm sure the labour laws in England would not allow under age employment. I too wondered what the year was supposed to transmit.

is this a proposed shirt, just a feeler to how well it goes down? or completely ridiculous joke that will have CITY AS LAUGHING STOCK by having a poor interpretation of what their mascot is like?
2 rumours … one has it they paid a class 2 infant at the local school to design it … 2 mars bars and a kit kat … the other £70,000 for a grafitti artist to come up with something in 8 secs

1982, the darkest date in our recent history, we very nearly went under, still at least we’ve never stooped so low as to try to Nick someone else’s ground. I know a club that tried unsuccessfully once, and actually succeeded the second time .

You stick to your guns CaptainJack and I thought your comments were well put and no offence taken, but then again I live in Canada and don't understand all this ancient history stuff so what the hell do I know?

I was totally unaware of the 1982 incident until considerably later and although I found out about all the business end of the affair I was never party to a lot of the other stuff that went on. It wasn't until the internet opened up and gave me the ability to google what happened, and that was after many years of total non-coverage of football here in Canada, that I was able to grasp how close my beloved team nearly ended up going out of business.

Never imagined the blue had tried to nick our home, and shame on them for the audacity, and I also believe there is more background on Hollowhead and his love for the red side of Bristol. I'm all ears (not like Charles of course).

we have a bird as a mascot that does not currently live on this planet, just finished checking my birds of the world .. and there are 1,000's of them ... maybe BS is using gene therapy to invent one ... ?
if successful , then can start making footballers to order ... a 7ft CF that can sprint 100m in 10 secs is as agile as a mountain goat and has the stamina of a swallow !
Of course if launch day is tomorrow [ day after today which is 31st March ] ............LOL

Don't hate it, but definitely don't love it. I think some of the renders seen online with the suspension bridge put on look far better. Subtle but made a difference. Like this:

Why not? That's a bit disrespectful towards clubs who have gained or regained promotion to the football league. Try telling Luton fans this <ok>

Ok, so again, what did I say that was so unreasonable? The fact some club tried stealing someones ground is not relevant to what I said. Alsowhen you said you nearly went under, that is correct. You nearly did. So you didn't go bust but you did form into a new club. Bristol City 1982 ltd. So your club was formed in 1982. Which is my point about the year on your badge. Again, I am not taking the piss here. I am just stating a fact that is even on your very own official site <ok>

Here you go, go to 1982 (obviously) https://www.bcfc.co.uk/fanzone/club-history/potted-history/

Also just a side point, if you ignore the 1982 date (which clearly your club has done), I thought your founded date was 1897? Hasn't all your club details had the date founded associated with the club been 1897? Just do a quick Google search and type 'when was Bristol City founded' and it says 1897. Where has 1894 come from that is on your new shirt?
