Coupled with speed cameras every 200 m, I wonder who is going to pay for those?

As previously stated, more laws/rules=less freedom.

The M20 is generally a massive clusterfuck right now. The smart motorway installation from Maidstone to the M26 junction is a mare, which we have to endure for at least another year if they finish on time. Then once finished, we get to experience the joys of fluctuating speed limits so idiots can slam their brakes on at each sign and cause congestion. So glad I run my business from home!

The french have a simple idea that works well. 80 mph in good weather conditions, 65 mph with reduced visibility. It's all you need on a motorway.

You forget we live in a nanny state mate, where we need the system to think for us... apparently.

Good weather or bad, people still drive like idiots.

Glad I'm over sixty now and probably only have 20 years left maximum. I feel sorry for the kids now though. Not surprising many end up taking loads of drugs. You don't need a brain nowadays so you might as well switch of off/re-program it.

The Commission initiates most legislation. MEPs can only amend or reject it. This is often used as an argument that the EU is undemocratic but it's actually a direct consequence of it not being a state and the fact that only limited sovereignty has been ceded to it.

When they spoke about the no limit on German motorways, they also mentioned that you never saw an old German car there.I wonder why?

Why do I get the feeling that Michael Gove is said cabinet minister? That would explain said minister's seeming inability to note that Cameron, Gove and Boris were responsible for this mess while the Dire Leader was merely burning landing cards for those on board the Empire Windrush...

Bookies are seldom wrong, 6:1 is still long odds, but money is going on it today.

Don't worry, everyone, Chuka Umunna's got a solution

...he's changing the name of The Independent Group Ltd to Change UK PLC, because that's the most important thing for his bunch to be doing
Bookies predict England to win the World Cup every four years, with plenty of people happy to bet on it to lower the odds
