^^^^^This!! If you're a Cardiff supporter, local, and physically able to go, the only reason you shouldn't be there is if you can't get a ticket.
Same here Nin, partially why I went to Bournemouth v Newcastle. How will we get through next Saturday with our game on Sunday? After going to footie all over England and Wales for over 55 years with no hassle I was nearly refused entry at Bournemouth. I bought my ticket from my brother in law's mate as he had to go to work in Thailand for a week. What a tough number!!! Having been frisked by an attractive young lady on the way in (why do we only have nerds, gnarly old blokes and total munters offering this service at City?), and deemed fit to proceed I got stopped by a jobsworth steward who asked me for my name and ID to confirm I was the person entitled to the ticket. I could only give Lloyd's christian name which did not tally with my ID. He told me I couldn't go in!!! Thankfully Lloyd's mate had waited for me and told the steward not to be a twat. That got me in but Lloyd might find himself blacklisted for future tickets.
55 years, didn’t go till you were 15 then eh pal? Don’t even think about going to Barnsley! Dirty dirty BFB, and you too old BT
Barnsley Not 606. Weren’t you coerced into visiting some kind of “rude thread” on this site by BT? You being the innocent one....or protesting as such?
This journo should be a manager https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tactical-tweak-cardiff-city-must-16026242
Time to bring this back to life. Paterson out for rest of season following ankle op due to injury while playing for Scotland v San Marino. Warnock really pi$$ed off at Iceland manager after Gunnar played 63 mins then a full game v France, for Iceland last week. He should be okay for Chelski but unlikely to play v Man City. Connolly back from long injury lay off, dislocated his ankle in training. Good news, Jazz Richards (who?), back in training. Bamba, as we know out for season. Squad looking thin as we approach a vital last 8 games. We really don't want more injuries/suspensions.
Didn’t know about Paterson. That’s a massive blow. Mention here of Connelly being injured. He’s not in the 25 though? https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/neil-warnock-rants-iceland-over-16045979
Cardiff will be without Callum Paterson for the rest of the season after he was injured playing for Scotland. Sol Bamba is also a long-term absentee, while this game will come too soon for Jazz Richards. Chelsea will monitor Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ethan Ampadu, both of whom missed international duty because of back problems. Terry Venables could start. Callum Hudson-Odoi will hope to start his first Premier League game after impressing for England in Montenegro. Davide Zappacosta's ankle problem will also be assessed. @martfisher1: Each time Cardiff are written off they seem to bounce back with a result that reboots their survival chances. The win over West Ham certainly falls into that category. Still beneath that dotted line but scrapping for every point, woe betide any side that enters their territory expecting an easy ride. Chelsea, be warned. Well respected football guru Magnificent Masky predicting a five goal win apparently....fug me! The Londoners' dreadful away form is deeply sabotaging hopes of a top-four finish, and a fifth defeat in six on the road could do irreparable damage. Lack of goals has been a major issue recently, and they certainly need more from Gonzalo Higuain. So far he's only scored against sides in the relegation zone. Chelsea will hope that is a good omen. Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock: "We're still putting the frighteners up one or two other teams. "I think the glass is over-brimming at the moment, not half full or half empty. I think we should be eight or nine points clear of where we are, but we've still had eight clean sheets. "You forget where we were two years ago and you get carried away… but [the players] keep fighting and coming back when everybody writes us off." Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri on Callum Hudson-Odoi: "We have to play eight matches in 28 days, so he will start in two or three matches. "For every competition there is no difference, so I am really very confident with him. "He has started a lot of matches. Not in [the] Premier League, but by chance - it is not a problem for him to start a Premier League match, he is ready. "But I can only play with two wingers, we have [Eden] Hazard, Pedro, Willian. Probably in the near future he will start in 75 or 80% of matches." Cardiff have not played since they beat West Ham on 9 March and, at home, they always give it a go. I would still back Chelsea to win on Sunday, though. Maurizio Sarri has got a lot of quality in his side and, if they are at it in these kind of games, they tend to win. Prediction: 0-2 Lawro's full predictions v legendary guitarist Johnny Marr Head-to-head Cardiff have not defeated Chelsea in the top flight since 1961. That year, they beat the Blues 5-2 at home on 6 September and then, just two weeks later, won 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. The Bluebirds' most recent win against Chelsea was 2-1 at Ninian Park in the third round of the League Cup in October 1986. Cardiff City Cardiff have lost 16 successive Premier League games against the sides currently in the top six since a 2-2 draw against Manchester United in November 2013. Victory would give the Bluebirds their highest Premier League points tally, surpassing by one their final total of 30 in 2013-14. Cardiff have scored 17 of their last 21 top-flight goals in the second half. The Welsh side have won 71% of their points at home - only Fulham have a higher percentage in the top flight this season. They have kept eight Premier League clean sheets this season - prior to the weekend that was more than Arsenal (six), Manchester United and Wolves (both seven). Chelsea The Blues have lost six of eight Premier League games this season when they have conceded the opening goal, with their only victory coming in September's 4-1 win against Cardiff. Chelsea have lost four of their five top-flight away games in 2019, with the aggregate score in those four defeats being 14-0. Prior to the weekend, only Fulham (five defeats) had been beaten more often on their travels this calendar year. Chelsea have not kept a Premier League clean sheet outside of London since beating Burnley 4-0 on 28 October. Their only defeat in 17 previous Premier League games against Welsh opposition came at Swansea in April 2016 (W12, D4). Eden Hazard has scored five Premier League goals in three appearances against Cardiff, all of them at Stamford Bridge. Gonzalo Higuain has scored three goals in seven Premier League games, with all of those strikes coming against teams in the relegation zone: two versus Huddersfield, one against Fulham. N'Golo Kante is set to make his 100th league appearance for Chelsea. Bluebirds!
Easy for me to say as someone who can't be there, but the stadium needs to be full, loud and intimidating.
You're right clingo. As sad as it sounds, we can't rely on the Emeliano Sala "emotion" factor any more - this needs to be raw guts and courage. I honestly don't think a result is beyond us. They have some fantastic players but seem to be in a ManU/Mourinho mode at the moment - Sarri hasn't got it quite right despite the individual talent available to him.
Just looked at the bookies take on our game today. Not giving us any chance with City at 8/1 to win it and 2/1 for a win/draw double chance. Can't help myself - a tenner on to win it and twenty on the double chance.
