    3 25 Wetherby

Fransham 8/1 , pam sly loves a winner here , and this was not unfancued last time at huntingdon when unlucky to be forced out , that was a fairly strong race for the grade , stable had a well backed winner on wednesday in the same colours , this will definitely be trying !!!

I had thought there was racing at Doncaster today so was looking forward to spending a day off watching that. My head's clearly stuck in the 1980s!

The race is starting to resemble Cheltenham now, unfortunately – horses getting injured or being re-routed elsewhere. Meanwhile, I see that Mr Nicholls has now said he's unlikely to have a runner. Cor blimey a GN without him or Lieutenant Henderson. Akin, people, to 'The Boat Race' without Oxford or Cambridge.

Big news re the latest Close Harmony by the way (that’s the dam who has produced a plethora of winners with the undoubted highlight being the legendary Barbers Shop). Her 6YO offspring, by Shirocco, could make his racecourse bow as early as next Wednesday in a Market Rasen bumper. Really exciting news this and could be the perfect pre-Aintree start for punters. What, what?!? He’s is monikered Royal Reel and has been retained by his breeder, Rita Brown – what a lovely name for an owner/breeder by the way.

    Good luck all.

Absolutely wonderful. Do you have one of these photographs??? If so I’ll change my avatar.

Was she the stand-in though?!? Couldn’t Princess Camilla, the forum's favourite Royal, make it?!?

I’ve tasked ‘my man in I.T.’ with this important update. He says he hopes to complete it by September 2020.

Tiger Roll now as low as 3/1 for the GN by the way. What is the shortest ever priced fav re the race incidentally??? Anyone know.

Gutted as was going to be backing Blaklion so will have to have a rethink. Will leave until morning of race I think.

Bet the new owners are gutted!! The benefit of not betting ante post is no money lost for me. Shame he doesn't take up his place. Was looking forward to seeing how he fared for his up and coming trainer.

I think this year the grand national is sponsored by Gordon Elliott isn't it as he targets taking up near a 1/3rd of the field. :emoticon-0100-smile
