With Corbyn as PM you'd probably be less likely to go to war in the first place. But I think the idea that he'd shaft the military or not back them in combat is bullshit personally.
Just my take. If I was serving personal, would I trust him to back me? No, I wouldn’t, his track record says otherwise.
What about his track record specifically though ? Is it the NI thing ? Because Thatcher and Co were meeting with the IRA also, they just kept it secret. Is it the CND thing ? I think nuclear disarmament is a good thing to work towards, but Corbyn is committed to renewing Trident. I think it's a very different job being PM than it is being an opposition back bench MP. Once you get into office and meet with Civil servants and Mi5 etc, there's a certain element of 'this is how it is on the ground'.
There's a difference between meeting the IRA to bring about an end to war and having the IRA as friends. I doubt Thatcher and co went out for meals with them and a drink and a bit of a laugh. Did Thatcher and co refuse to condemn the IRA bombings? Corbyn has always been vocal about nuclear disarmament. The only time he said he would renew Trident was in May at the 2017 GE. He's even questioned why we need an army.
Come on mate, you think Corbyn met with Sinn Fein/IRA for a meal, drink and a bit of a laugh ? They weren't his 'friends' as you put it. He was doing the same thing as the Thatcher and co then got round to, and realising that in order to broker peace, you eventually have to have a dialogue. The only difference was that he was up front about it, whereas Thatcher said she'd 'never negotiate with terrorists' so decided to do it in secret instead.
Yes. That's exactly what he done He refused to condemn the IRA bombings, ffs. Personally, I'd like to watch his throat being slit while he lies slowly dying like the rat that he is.
Your entire argument is based on assumptions in his favour ffs, have a word with yourself. The likelihood of war is less because why? He’d turn his back on our allies.... ****ing great!
Calm down bru. I'm not making any assumptions in his favour, I'm just countering some factual inaccuracies about Corbyn.
Plus you’re making assumptions in his favour. How the **** you jump to so many conclusions with no basis is beyond me.
You’re assuming that he’s not ejected out of a car at 120mph mate, this is my fantasy, please don’t interfere.
