Lovely idea but again not based on any reality. For there to be a change from unanimity to majority rule on a matter there needs to be unanimous agreement among the member states to move to a majority rule. And guess what? We’re a member state and can block it. In fact we introduced an act of parliament that acts as an auto veto... Cameron’s EU act 2011 maybe explains why the clause hasn’t actually been used since the treaty of Lisbon. Here’s some context, Juncker wants to tackle taxation of big multinationals and would like to move some fiscal policy from unanimity to majority... https://www.euractiv.com/section/future-eu/news/juncker-challenges-unanimity-on-fiscal-policy/
Well that's that then. I leave the EU later today. All the stupid f-ckers in that mauseleum in London can please themselves and continue With all the hot air until the cows come home for all I care.
The bad news is,we don't have a veto on the rebate,it's has to be negotiated every 7 years. So back to the original,we could well end up paying 50% more into the EU getting ripped off for as long as we are members. Given some of you snowflakes want a Norway type deal like Labour,we would have no voting or blocking rights,so get ready for the big tax hike for the EU
She has a 42% polling not wanting her to resign,Boris Johnson has 20% wanting him and the rest are in single numbers. How long do you think her replacement will last ?.
Yes financial policy has a 7 year cycle. That’s something you’ve got right... the irrelevant bit. The relevant bit you got wrong again. It needs our agreement because it has to be unanimously agreed among member states. It’s kind of why we still have it.
It has to be negotiated every seven years we have to get the 28 countrys to agree to it.As they have already said they want it stopped, what chance of getting the 28 to give us the rebate. Plus you seem to have missed answering the second part,Norway style snowflakes want will see 50% increase in EU payments.
Yes, and there’s been a conscious decision to leave them to it today. We’ll take back control of the Westminster area as soon as they disappear tomorrow.
We are one of the ones that have to agree to it FFS, what are we going to say? Oh yeh fine take it away. These decision are negotiated behind the scenes before they make it to a vote. Your second point merely highlights a problem negotiating from outside the eu not in it. Thought you were making a case for brexit not against it.
A Norway agreement isn't Brexit it's remain, and the rebate is gone at the end of the seven years we have to get 28 country's to give it us again. All your veto's etc are wrong, waffle all you want, your wrong and you know you are.
