    Sigh! Or maybe you can.

"However, if the company did go into administration it's believed the current work on the new footbridge over Castle Street would not be effected.

A no-vote would see accountants EY appointed administrators and they will then sell the company for a nominal amount to the current lenders who will own 100 per cent of the new company."

I didn't think that companies going into administration was reasons to be optomistic DMD, like the asset strippers move in, to make a quick buck. PFI and all that, shysters making a fortune out of companies in distress, Carillion comes to mind.

I never mentioned optimism, I simply quoted the article.

Do I need to say it OLM, Castle St??? and as yet a large swathe of the city centre has got all the pretty drawings but nothing else, oh yes the demolition of Edwin Davis. The former TSB???, the former Arco/May Sum building??? Humber St, see the recording studio has closed down, has been closed for an age. Another thing as well, is there an aversity in Hull to high rise buildings, besides housing blocks that is? Won't see a Shard or a Gherkin any time soon I suspect. And as for this new office cum shop complex to replace BHS/Co-op/Baileys etc I have yet to find out where all the finance is coming from. Princes Quay 2??? As you wrote, Dave Jar View.

The Council have just bought the site for the Castle Street works depot, so obviously think it's still going to happen and the 'city centre has got all the pretty drawings but nothing else' is simply not true, as detailed in my previous message.

    I’ve no stats obviously
But I imagine there would have been less good news to post on this thread prior to 2017

Am I the only one with tickets for the first major 'gig' in the Minster? Can't believe they managed to attract ex zombies singer, Colin Blunstone.

    Sorry!

I tend not to make donations in churches...because organised religions tend to have piles of cash as big a Ben Nevis!

I do chip in with my entry fee to real ale festivals there though.

I think you’re right mind you
