I ain't crying bud. I'm calling you out on the view of all vets on Corbyn.

For the record, I'm involved in a group called surf action which works with war vets, and I used to co-run a veterans support group through my local CMHT who I worked for. Plenty of those lads who've seen action have zero sympathy for the rich elites who sent them into war.

And plenty of the lads who I've coached in surf action are Corbyn supporters. They just don't buy into the bullshit that the rags peddle.

Okay, you got me. Not ALL vets are against Corbyn. I'm confident to say that the vast majority are against him, though.

Sorry bro, but you're just making assumptions. I'm not trying to be a dick about it, just the vets I know are from all walks of life. And in my experience, a lot of them are pretty despondent with the ruling elite after they've been through the horrors of combat.

Assumptions would just be stuff I'm making up. I speak to these guys and I'm telling you what they tell me.

If anybody is making assumptions, however...

I have a massive issue with this statement. If you don’t want to be sent to be shot at don’t join the army. The folk who send them there are irrelevant.

I have the greatest respect for anyone who signed up and put themselves in the firing line. What I hate is the whingers who didn’t want to go to war.

You sign up, stands a fair chance you’re going to kill folk and you and ya mates might die.

Dealing with ptsd is a different matter. I get the fact that they will need help to get over it, but don’t sign up then bitch about being sent to the very thing you signed up for.

I think it's about why, though. People think that they're going to fight for just causes when they sign up, generally speaking.

    Bollocks.

We haven’t had a ‘just’ war since ww2 . You sign up you do what you’re told . That’s the point of signing up to the system.

Every cause is a just cause when they're in there because that's what they're told to do. The guys expect war, if they don't then they shouldn't be going in.

Piskie is Corbyn’s biggest fan, he’ll defend him to the hilt. We know what Corbyn is mate, there’s no two ways about it, if you have to bat away that volume of bad press... well there’s no smoke without fire.

You are literally talking about disenfranchised vets who seem to have fallen on hard times since being discharged/leaving the forces. This is a demographic who Corbyn is falsely promising to help, but a demographic that The Tory Party are failing, as they group them in with mental health patients and homeless folk instead of giving them special treatment, that’s another debate altogether.

Serving personel usually have a standard mentality when it comes to serving and defending the country, I know this because I served in a tri-service environment, also with allied forces, the consensus was certainly that we are the aggressor, we have the power, we are the best, war was exciting and not discouraged... all of this goes against the MO of Corbyn, who would only go to war as a last resort after failing with his patronising talking bollocks. Saff’s probably right pal, the bloke is probably hated by a huge percentage of Armed Forces personel.

    London, anywhere ...

The point I was making is that the idea of carrying a weapon for self defence, leads to more deaths and injuries overall as a result. Knives in Britain, guns in America.
