I live in America surrounded by Americans. I can assure you, most Americans are actually quite content with Trannies, Muslims, and women, that go about their own business. It's actually very much a minority that are bigots with their heads in the sand.
When it comes to his politics I don't believe he should step aside because he is a conviction politician imo and why shouldn't he fight for that rather than jettison those for the sake of power at any cost. But where he lets himself down is in his delivery. I watch him at the dispatch box and he just isn't very good at holding the government to account. He rarely has a killer punch, instead waffling to the extent the point (and the opportunity) is lost. Sadly, we aim for politicians with substance over sizzle. But when we get one, we judge him on the sizzle. I've said before, that in a way, his greatest asset is also his greatest weakness. But how much of that is his fault and how much is ours.
Probably... not any, but any decent one for sure. I’ve never aligned myself with any political party, but I’ve certainly distanced myself from Labour since that prat turned up. In politics I want nothing more than a brutal, ruthless destruction of Corbyn and his mess, so I can have two viable options to choose from.
This, it's personality politics. What an damning indictment on the voting public when they treat it like an episode of Love Island. (agree about Corbyn being a weak orator at the dispatch box though)
I agree with almost all of that but he needed to be someones right hand rather than the leader. He's the Gordon Brown to someone's Tony Blair. Stood up by himself he's just too easy to not take seriously. He isn't stupid and must know that the best chance for Labour to get in was with someone else but he doesn't want to water down any policies. He doesn't seem to appreciate compromise.
You were in Texas weren't you if I recall correctly (or was that someone else). I can believe that in Texas. I wouldn't say the US and UK were all that different in regards to number of people or percent that are racist or biggoted tbh. Actually Britain probably is more racist in general. The main difference is Britain tends to be more openly and casually racist and the US tends to have fewer racists but the racists that are out there are more extreme.
We were talking about this on the politics thread a few days ago. Perhaps it should be Kier Starmer. I don't know much about him tbh but others were saying he is a "man of the people" and he comes across as a heavy hitter in parliament.
Probably imagines him screaming "order order" as she passionately rips the clothes from his body revealing his 12 inch gavel.
So two Russian Secret service agents happened to turn up at Salisbury, out of all the places in the world, just to see it's cathedral? At the exact same time that the Father and Daughter were poisoned? That's a coincidence in a half.
Depends on what she's screaming out at the time, he could be shouting "the ayes have it, the ayes have it!"
Not from me. Corbyn getting in as prime minister raises the chances of him being executed. MI5, MI6 and the SAS have all spoke out against him. I'm pretty sure something would land right in between his eyes
In suburbia outside Chicago. Worked downtown on South Wacker. Then moved and spent 2 years in NYC on Wall St. My ex was brought up in suburban Detroit. Her parents were from Kentucky. My experience was that mid-west, white, middle class America had a hell of a lot of prejudices.
