Both the indicative votes for another Referendum on any Brexit proposal, and for a Customs Union, got more support than May's deal did both the 2 times she put it forward. Revoke Article 50 got more votes than No deal. With fewer choices Monday, and maybe another day, perhaps this process will find one or two with a majority, which if one of the two is another Referendum on the other, it would be enough, as long as the other actual Referendum option is Remain.

Good to see that they have confirmed what we all knew.
The government is in complete agreement that they agree on nothing.
    Farcical.
Some telling words from the British Chamber of Commerce’s Director General: “We are frustrated. We are angry. You have let British business down. You have focused on soundbites, not substance. Tactics, not strategy. Politics, not prosperity."

A note from Kipling to the next Tory leader.......

I could not dig; I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
    Mine angry and defrauded young?

If we take part in the EU Parliament elections, we'll send back an army of Farages. The EU have enough problems with discontents from other member countries. They need us out now and could push a deal over the line

I could see a GE with parties having to offer a clear outcome. Tory grassroots should start deselecting hardline Remainers now imo. Corbyn can take a Remain weighted stance

Meaningful Vote 3 will happen tomorrow, assuming Bercow allows it.

I agree, can see a GE coming soon. However, I would also bet on no overall majority, which will leave us as stuck as we are today!!

Jussie Smollett’s Attorney: Nigerian Brothers May Have Been Wearing Whiteface During Attack
    by Caleb Ecarma | Mar 28th, 2019, 9:02 am 325
Actor Jussie Smollett‘s attorney suggested the Osundairo brothers, two Nigerian men who claim Smollett hired them to stage a hate crime, may have been wearing “whiteface” during the incident.
Attorney Tina Glandian, who appeared n NBC’s Today show this morning, pushed the theory after being asked about Smollett’s claim that he was attacked by a white man.
“He only saw one of the attackers. One of them he didn’t see. He saw one through a ski mask,” Glandian said. “Again, he could not see their body. Everything was covered, and he had a full ski mask on except the area around the eyes.”
“He did tell police that he — from what we saw, he thought it was pale skin or white or pale skin, was I think what he said,” she added. “And that was what he — and that’s why he initially did have a hard time.”
Glandian continued by suggesting Osundairo brothers had worn whiteface in the past — during a skit as The Joker from Batman in clown makeup — and may have done it again:
“Well, you know, I mean, I think there’s — obviously, you can disguise that. You can put makeup on. There is, interestingly enough, a video. You know, I think police had minimal investigation in this case, it took me only five minutes to Google. You know, I was looking up the brothers, and one of the videos that showed up actually was of the brothers in whiteface doing a joker monologue with white makeup on him. So, it’s not — it’s not implausible.”
While the two brothers were initially expected to testify against Smollett for allegedly paying them to stage the homophobic and racist attack, since the actor’s charges were dropped by a Cook County prosecutor, the two have since backed off and will not publicly refute Smollett’s claims of innocence.

Rees-Mogg: I Won’t Back the Deal Unless the DUP are on Board
Theresa May’s promise to step down last night if the deal passes looks to have unlocked substantially more support for the deal – a clear majority of the ERG have now come over including big beasts Boris and IDS – although a hard core of around 20-30 diggers-in remains. They are “still looking for a ditch in which to die”, in the words of one MP there…
May’s biggest hurdle now is the DUP, who put out a fresh statement last night confirming they still could not support the deal, before Nigel Dodds brutally put down any suggestion that they could abstain instead of voting against it:

Jacob Rees-Mogg, who has now been branded everything from “traitor” to “eurofederalist” after saying it’s May’s deal or no Brexit on Monday, reiterated his position on Peston last night that he will still vote against the deal unless the DUP are on board. However, he does suggest how domestic law could be used to address the DUP’s concerns. Will it be enough? We’ll find out soon enough…

8 different versions of Brexit? I think not.

    Down to:

    No deal. Or

    Long delay

    Take your pick.

  19. Now that is a disgrace. Nothing's going to keep everyone happy but some softer Brexit would have worked to a degree. Crash out or cancel the whole thing is a bloody powder keg.
The real shame is that if yesterday's events in Parliament had happened 18 months ago most Remainers and leavers might have brought into them and shown some interest. Yesterday - quite rightly - they were viewed with contempt.
