He said he didn’t think they’re appropriate... and it’s well known they want to phase them out. But EU finances require unanimous support, so any deal we weren’t happy with couldn’t get passed. In other words it would be a negotiation process.

Good to see you at least checking a source though... so how about some for the rest of the bollox you spouted in the same post? <laugh>

Options, when you get caught out:
    A. Fess up
    B. Keep shouting loudly and post lots of <doh><doh><doh><doh><doh>

You’re not an option A kind of guy are you fella <laugh>

    D. More efficient and democratic policy-making with new policies and new competencies

Several so-called ‘passerelle clauses’ allow a change from unanimous decision-making to qualified majority voting and from the consultation procedure to codecision (Article 31(3) TEU, Articles 81, 153, 192, 312 and 333 TFEU, plus some passerelle-type procedures concerning judicial cooperation in criminal matters) (1.2.4). In areas where the Union has no exclusive powers, at least nine Member States can establish enhanced cooperation among themselves. Authorisation for its use must be granted by the Council after obtaining the consent of the European Parliament. On CFSP matters, unanimity applies.

There you go,proof like I said and no right of veto.
ps As my proof is from the European parliament site,a remain meme will not surfise
look forward to reading your apology or you doing a B .<laugh>

    I;m confused by it all.

All I know is that Theresa May is getting very upset that Parliament won't back her.

If the MP's don't back her, does it mean we stay in Europe, or is the argument how we leave Europe?

Yes, but as parliament have said clearly more than once they don’t want no deal, it’s unlikely to be allowed. That’s why some ERG were wavering, as they can see now they really could lose their precious.

Do you even read your own ‘proof’? It says ‘several’... changes from unanimous to majority. They loosened the rules on less contentious issues to speed up decision making. Serious stuff, including Finances, which includes the EU budget requires unanimity. Go google that for half an hour and see if you can part quote the wrong bit of legislation. Or read the following link.

    https://www.consilium.europa.eu/en/council-eu/voting-system/unanimity/

That’s from the European council website...

Then you can get round to trying to enlightening us on the significance of 2022 etc.<laugh>

It's proof of what I said,Majority,no veto and its 2021 the budget not 2022 as I put.I can only prove what I put and I have, not proved your dreams, but that's your job.;)

And no it doesn't say(several...changes from unanimous to majority)

It says (several clauses allow a change from unanimous to majority)
A small difference of you making it look like only in a few cases, but it doesn't say that, you altered it because you were wrong.;)

“That by 2022 we will just be a state of Europe and Eu rules override our laws.we will lose our rebate so will be charged much more to be in the EU,and as there will no longer have to be a 100% agreement to pass new rules”

The facts say, we have veto on the important sh*t including budget and rebate.

It’s a killer when the facts get in the way of a good story, fella. I think we know what you’ve managed to prove. Let’s move on... must be a Leeds game coming up soon.:emoticon-0148-yes:
