I'm proud of my Geordie/Durham accent, but when I hear folks propping forcing it, like those off of Geordie Shore, it does my bonce in!
Somehow it feels wrong. But then again, he listen to you mate. That makes you special (in a nice way)
I guarantee a local could. People from different areas of London have distinctly different accents, for example. An East End accent is quite distinctive, though you don't hear so many of them anymore.
