The 'narrative' counts for **** all in the end, if Kim Jong is still doing whatever he wants.

It counted for enough with his predecessors.

Well not really, because Trump has given Kim Jong a platform and legitimacy on the world stage. That's fine if you get results, if you don't then you've just legitimised a 'rogue' nuclear state.

The US economy would very likely have picked up to the degree it has if they had elected a spangled bat as president. The bat would have been less likely to spunk $18 billion on a wall to solve all of America's social issues ... but it has been proven beyond all doubt that all high school shootings were perpetrated by cheesy nacho addicts with high levels of guacamole in their blood stream ... so at least America's parents can sleep soundly at night now, knowing that their kids are safe in school now that the Mex threat is dealt with.<ok>

Saw a news piece from the US where Mexicans in Tijuana are ripping off the razor wire from the wall, to use in their own homes to secure their properties.

Mexico are stealing the wall <laugh>

How did they develop their nuclear capability, and what legitimacy do they now have? Is he more or less of a risk now?

Why couldn't earlier Presidents resolve it?

The legitimacy they now have is that Kim Jong has been verified as a bona fide leader on the world stage by Trump's eagerness to furnish his own ego.

He hasn't resolved anything. N korea are still developing their nuclear weapons, whilst Trump is trying to tell the world they aren't because of him.

Blimey. Even Mexicans feel the need to protect themselves heavily from Mexicans.

In the same way that some Americans feel the need to lock themselves in gated communities to protect themselves from Americans

Hardly, but that whataboutery doesn't help your argument either way.

By the very act of holding meetings with him.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for dialogue. But your strategy has to be 'show me some tangible evidence first, then we'll meet'. Trump has dived in, because he wants to be seen as the President who achieved what others couldn't.

The reality is that all he's achieved so far is to legitimise Kim Jong on the world stage.

Well of course it is. Americans lock themselves in gated communities to protect themselves from other Americans. Mexicans fortify their homes to protect themselves from other Mexicans.

That's just a couple more questions I asked that you couldn't actually answer.

That's not even what's being discussed here in any way, shape or form.

Interesting attempt to ignore the obvious though <ok>

... because Kim and his old man were a lot more wary of the intelligence levels of Donny's predecessors ... you ain't gonna be intimidated intellectually by Donny ... not unless you are a gopher ....
