I don't think anyone was expecting a clear parliamentary majority for any single option were they? Don't they vote again on the most favoured options?
I believe under the existing rules, each MP is allowed to vote for his/her two most favourite options, plus his/her least favourite. Each vote is then weighted in accordance with de Moivre’s Theorem having first stated the null hypothesis, then seasonally adjusted after disallowing votes from MPs representing constituencies beginning with a vowel and, of course, all women. Under Barnier’s Diktat, all votes from sitting homosexuals count twice, whilst those on all fours get a bye into the next round, where they meet Dianne Abbott for a shot at the title. A second referendum was closest but this has significant opposition in Labour. If Corbyn whips it, big split coming. I can't see much changing, unless the EU does something on the backstop to quell DUP concerns. At some point, the EU may have to step in because it's taking their attention from other stuff including the rise of populism in the EU
I wasn't aware that MPs had been asked to vote for or against each option. Surely they should have been asked to vote only positively for the options that they may be able to go along with should a 'meaningful' vote take place? It's only indicative after all. It's time they voted for something.
I'm not confident they can because the divisions are huge on both sides of the House. If Monday fails, it's surely WTO or the EU gives enough to get May's deal through.
All looking a bit messy, isn’t it? The EU won’t give anything more, if they do Mogg and Johnson, the Perkin Warbeck and Lambert Simnel of the Tory Party, will just ask for other stuff. Who are the EU meant to be talking to anyway, May or Parliament? This is chaos.
I don't know who dreamt up the rules for tonight's votes, but it was bollocks. No shouldn't have been an option for any proposal. Agree or abstain indicatively and then hold a for or against vote on the most popular proposal to see if it could get a majority.
Wasn’t it Letwin? Good chance that after this Mickey Mouse process sufficient MPs are as pissed off with the whole thing as the rest of us and vote for May’s deal just to get it over and done with. Until the next stage, when the Tories have picked another fool to cock it up for years on end, because the Parliamentary maths won’t change until an election, in which I’m guessing there will be a shockingly low turnout. Because we hold them all in contempt, justifiably.
Seems they are going to have another go on Monday, presumably with fewer options. The Ken Clarke option (permanent Customs Union attached to any deal) could win out and would get a majority if tagged onto May's Withdrawal Agreement.
Never saw you as someone who viewed the EU as the knight on a white charger coming to rescue us from self-destruction - surely not those corrupt unelected tyrants? May has made the whole country a damsel in distress.
The problem is it is never truly indicative when leaderships whip their parties or at least express a preference. National interest or personal ambition. Tough dilemma for people with no principle or backbone

What is the betting on: 1 Whether Bercow even allows the May deal to proceed to vote 3? 2 The DUP will ever agree to anything in the interest of the country they proclaim to want to be part of forever? 3 Whether enough Brexiteers are persuaded by the 180 degree turn by their leaders? It's a betrayal of their core beliefs however much JRM, BoJo and DD try to dress it up as the fault of others. 4 Whether enough Labour moderates are prepared to join the other Labour rebels and vote with the government to get a deal over the line? Are there any grown ups left in the House of Commons?
