I do think we need to be realistic that we are a level of club that won’t be able to attach a certain calibre of player without them being first choice as well as budget constraints and there being more priority positions. A utility player is exactly what we need. He’d be out of our reach but a James Milner kind who can do a good job but would get minutes elsewhere on the pitch. I’d guess Elder or an academy player is more realistic

We are linked with two fullbacks called Kieran - Kieran Tierney and Kieran Trippier.

We are also linked with two young AMs - Mason Mount, a 20yo AM who is currently at Derby on loan from Chelsea, and Valentino Lazaro a 22yo from Hertha Berlin.

Tierney would mean no Chilwell. I’d rather keep Chilwell I guess as with Maguire, what would the difference in price be and where else could it be spent. Trippier seems like he needs a new challenge but again, would wouldn’t get him as well as Ricardo unless Ricardo is turned in a winger. Mount looks good, doubt Chelsea will want to sell as they hog talent and if their embargo sticks, they’ll be more likely to play the likes of him, Abraham and Hudson-Odoi.
Never heard of the other one, @leicester_ed loves it!

Arsenal spent a fortune on a new stadium and hardly spent money in the transfer market until that was paid off. Tottenham doing the same. We are spending the Prem League money for next season on a new training ground, and then looking to increase capacity in the stadium. Doubt we will be spending much at all unless we make big sales.

The tv deal is alot more now then it was when Arsenal built their stadium. The club have money to spend but its not a time for us to get stupid with money and not that we need it anyway. We only need to splash out on Tielemans which could be cheaper if we send Silva the other way. We can sign other players without breaking the bank but the club will spend. Rodgers wouldnt have come if there was no money to spend

Wouldn't mind Tierney if we wanted to cash in on Chilwell, depends if the funds would be necessary for other areas.

Wanted Trippier when he went down with Burnley, he can still put in some wicked crosses that Vardy would love.

I wouldn't be against getting him in and moving Ricardo up the right side as i feel thats the place we are weakest. Ricardo and Trippier playing together could be epic!

Tielemans and a winger. Nothing more for the first choice line up.

Then anyone as LB cover. Elder might do for a year...

Huddersfield got confirmed as relegated yesterday and Fulham can be in the week. Something I always do is look at the relegated clubs if they have any players you would like us to sign

For Huddersfield I dont want us to sign anyone. I like Aaron Mooy and Philip Billing but I wouldnt want us to sign them

For Fulham I suspect alot of clubs will go after Ryan Sessegnon and there will be interest in Aleksandar Mitrovic. They are they 2 I would like us to try and sign

A player we have been linked with Alfredo Morelos from Rangers. Just got his 5th red of the season. Sent off for whacking Scott Brown

Hope to god we stay well clear of this moron

Rodgers has confirmed that we are trying to make Teilmanns' move perminant - Monaco are willing to make a deal involving Silva.

Barcelona and Athletico Madrid are linked with Chilwell - apparently have been keeping tabs on him since England vs Spain.

We are linked with Mitrovic who isn't the nicest guy himself but is an angel compared to Morelos.

Not sure why as I haven’t looked, Silva wasn’t invoked in the squad for Monaco today but after a great run with him they lost 1-0 at home to bottom of the league Caen....looks like they really need him :emoticon-0148-yes:

Glad they are looking to progress this early, and with Silva as a makeweight, thats 2 positives for us.

Don't get stingy Rudkin! get this done now!

If things get complicated with Silva I would just pay the £40M for Tielemans and try and get the Silva deal done separately

Tielemans is too good a player to miss out on over complications

£40M is nothing nowadays and will be recouped plus interest when we sell Tielemans

We offered £45M for Gylfi Siguardsson ffs

Absolutely and, as you said in your post " I would pay" it's not an issue for the clubs budget

Seriously though, it's a no brainer as far as I'm concerned and no, it's not a lot these days.
