It doesn't look like the rest of the country want to change their mind, but they clearly could if they wanted to. What they can't change are the outcomes of the votes.

I never said "want", I said "allowed to change his mind" which he will be doing in a vote on something he voted on before. Seems a tad hypocritical he won't allow the people of this country to be allowed to do the same?

Anyone in the Country is still 'allowed' to change their mind...just not the outcome of a previous vote.

But he'll be allowed to change his mind in a new vote. How does he argue that people shouldn't be allowed to do the same in a new people's vote?

'People' voted the other times too. :emoticon-0114-dull:

There isn't another public vote pending, which is why they can't vote and he can, but that doesn't stop anyone from changing their mind. They just can't change the outcome of previous votes.

He also voted the other time two... twice.

But he's currently in favour of having a another vote in which he will be allowed to change his mind in a new vote 12 weeks after trying to oust a Tory PM because of it, and yet he isn't in favour of allowing people another vote to change their minds after 3 years? Sounds a bit elitist.

It sounds like Parliament, but your question was 'why can't people change their minds' and the rather obvious answer is that they can.

That wasn't the question as I pointed out earlier, but so far the answer either way is that he can't argue against allowing them a new vote to change their mind without coming across as a complete hypocrite.

He hasn't changed his mind to leave, though. He's been backed into a corner and it really is simple. He would rather May's deal than remaining in the EU.

In your opinion...I simply answered the question you asked. It's just repetitive now.

So what's your opinion on the point of him being a hypocrite for allowing himself to have a vote in which he can change his mind 12 weeks after trying to oust a Tory PM over the same deal, but he doesn't want to allow the public to have a vote in which they can change their mind 3 years later?

He's sticking to his basic belief we should leave, but being pragmatic about the situation that's been created by whiney twats.
