Ridiculous as it is for a "team of the season" to be announced in March... Krul Aarons Zimmerman Klose Lewis Vrancic Tettey Buendia Stiepermann Hernandez Pukki Really I think the only debates are Klose Vs Godfrey, Trybull Vs Tettey and Vrancic Vs Leitner Vs McLean. In each case it's hard to overlook the current incumbent of the shirt, however both Klose and Tettey have played over a 1000 minutes more this season than their 'rival', and made significant contributions. I don't think Tettey is in our best possible team, but for a team of the season he's made the bigger contribution. Along similar lines I discounted McLean, but whilst Leitner has played more minutes than Vrancic, and we played some of our best football with Leitner in the side, it's the contribution of Vrancic I find hard to overlook. The assist against Millwall, the goals at Leeds, his battling performance against Ipswich, his season has been more memorable than Leitner's.
Yes the GK, striker and wide players pick themselves. It's the CB pairing and middle that will cause the headaches. The difficulty for me is that everyone who has stepped in to fill a gap has also performed really well.
And the 12th man, the fans. It's been a revelation this season watching the momentum from overseas. The Barclay awash with colour and Carrow Road jumping. OTBC
