Anyone that have experienced any Sky Sport coverage before? Are they any good? Do you think the pre show will be as good as the current BBC coverage? I am from Sweden and have been following BBC's broadcasts through the web the last 2 years and before that I downloaded the show as torrents a few hours post race which wasn't too bad really. Jake & the team have brought a great show, miles and miles ahead of any other broadcast I have seen. If they are at least close to that BBC quality over at Sky, just wait a few hours after the race and find a torrent or stream for free. I'm sure that there will be tons of links all over the net. Another option is to go down to the local sportsbar where they show the sky show and watch the race over a few beers with your buddies. Doesn't sound too bad either
No I haven't and I never will Turdoch can **** off. I have tried watching it in a bar but it is **** it's not the same as football where you can keep a casual eye on it and not miss anything with F1 you have to concentrate, which is why when I was married the front room was out of bounds to everyone except for when I shouted BEER!! then the mussus was allowed to bring one in. Not quite sure why I'm not married anymore.
I'm compiling a list of sponsors, which you can obtain from visits to each team's website- proudly announced as their "partners". Then it requires the construction of a standard letter to be sent (or e-mailed) to each along the lines of self, family and friends utterly refusing (having up to this point, considered) to have anything to do with their products due to the disgraceful disrespect shown to British F1 fans by this deal. I may be a voice in the wilderness, but if each of us did this, the deal would collapse. Sponsors don't, as Ron Dennis once said, get involved in F1 just to watch cars racing around a track. When the orders and profits take a hit, they'll soon be knocking at The Poison Dwarf's door, and withdrawing their investments. Then things'll change.
I'm already constructing a web site on this very idea it will have all the partners listed with contact details and several standard email templates that can be altered by the user it also has a list of all the team principles with their contact details plus a feed back page and a news page to keep people up to date. It should be finished within the next week, then I will post the address on as many forums as possible and ask others do the same. The thing that is taking the time is the contact details and making sure that I only include the sponsors and not specialist suppliers such as carbon fibre composites and cfd programs as these companies are industry based and are not affected by consumer demand. If you feel you can help with gathering information on the partners contact details please send me a PM as some of them are pretty well hidden. Cheers
