In what order would you put these players from best to worst: Benayoun, Ramsey, Rosicky, Chamberlain, and Arteta?

    Mine would be:

    1.Rosicky
    2.Arteta
    3.Ramsey
    4.Benayoun
    5.Chamberlain

Rosicky as best? He has had many opportunities to prove himself and he hasn't.
Why is Chamberlain the worst? Just because we paid near £15mill for him, doesn't mean he should be a scapegoat. It's not his fault we bought him! Plus, have you ever seen him play? Doubt it.

I really like Rosicky and the couple of games he's played so far have been great.
And you're right that I have never seen Chamberlain play except the two U-21 games last week in which I thought he played great.

I think the start of the season has been especially hard for Ramsey. Last year, he'd just recovered from a major injury and was loaned out to Cardiff. This year he is expected to be the driving force of the team and is playing United away and Liverpool at game back to back, plus being captain of Wales. I can kindof excuse his poor form because it must be so overwhelming. However, players like Rosicky and Arshavin are experienced internationals and their no-show at Old Trafford is inexcusable. These are players who have led their countries at World Cups and European championships, but they didn't look bothered atall. They just crumpled under the pressure.
Udinese away is the only recent game (both this season and last) where Rosicky looked like he had any desire and ability.
As for Arteta and Benayoun; they are stop-gap signings. They'll never replace Nasri and Fabregas but their aim is to get us as high up the table as possible and try and offer some experience. Arteta was quiet and off-the-pace today but Benayoun looked alert and spritely. I think Benayoun will do well.

I must agree with you that way too much pressure was put on Ramsey this season. If we had the players we wanted to buy this summer (or still had Fabregas and Nasri), he would be coming off the bench and we would be praising his performances. But instead we've thrown him in the deep end and we're hoping he doesn't drown.

I also agree with you on Rosicky and Arshavin. They completely disappeared at Old Trafford when we needed them the most. But we can not put all the blame on them. ManU completely outclassed us and it's hard for anyone, especially two very inconsistent 30+ year olds, to impose themselves on a game when they hardly got a touch of the ball. However, they still have more to offer us, starting the game and off the bench, which I think would be best for them because they would make an impact after the 70th or so minute.

Find it bizarre how everyone rates Rosicky. The guy has been playing solely as an attacking midfielder for the last 2 years but can anyone remember him scoring and goals or getting assists? Doesn't seem to contribute anything apart from ball possession (which we don't need in that area) from what I can see.
