Yes, that's clear enough. I'm sorry if anything I've posted has offended you. I won't post any more bollocks.
You are right Royston. Chris Powell is a poor manager and it would not be good for Charlton if he ever came back. Lee Bowyer is much better.
Agreed. Lee Bowyer has the best record of any new manager since Jimmy Seed. Charlton are very lucky to have him.
I haven’t looked at Cardigan Life in over a week - it’s done wonders for my complexion - but the sad site will be in meltdown now
I doubt whether another league Club will employ Chris Powell now. He might be able to get a low profile job managing at non-league level, or he could get a job as an assistant perhaps. And he can do some punditry for Sky I suppose. Best of luck Chris, whatever you decide to do next.
I've skipped this as the whole Chris Powell thing does my head in. Why are we so obsessed with bringing him down? He was poor in his first half season with us, but did some shrewd business the only time he had cash, and we ripped the league a new one. After that, his support was whittled away and he was reduced to playing average to poor footballers, and we began to slide. The football we played was also what you might expect from a defender-turned-manager. We always seemed scared to attack, so we rarely had a big lead to defend. But he was a Charlton manager who got us a record points haul,. and clearly had a feeling for the club. Surely enough to give the guys some respect?
