Thought this had been deleted for a minutes it was so far down. Suffice to say, I've had a couple of weeks off! Plan to run outdoors tonight or tomorrow evening, the sun is out and it feels like spring. Time to see if I can get back cross country again. I've got a stone to shed.
Nice. Went for a run down the river to Richmond this morning followed by plyometrics. Mainly cycling and yoga at the moment though. Sometimes boxing on fridays
I was playing at least one game a week and often two before moving away from Watford and in with the missus 18 months or so ago. We’ve made a side in the block I’m living in and entered some local league so it’ll probably be dog rough against a load of middle-aged white van men which suits me as it’ll break the game up if there’s the odd kerfuffle and the younger guys can do the running.
Stayed in doors but got through three miles on the treadmill. Managed to find a bench at the end, did some flat barbell press, incline barbell press and then some dumb bell flies. Had done a bit of back stuff prior to that as it was the only available place to do anything in the whole gym, it's becoming a pain in the arse it's so busy. Might do that outdoor run tonight instead, I don't have to wait for some ****er to finish what they are doing then. Suffice to say, everything feels a whole lot better for this today. Playing squash Thursday, got to get back into that too.
Will start doing some strength training too Some people make mistake of too much yoga and flexibility and ignore strength
Was on the treadmill earlier and in front of me there were three girl's using cross trainer stepper things and two on spin bikes. I genuinly wouldn't have known which ones knickers I would wring out into my gob and which ones arse I'd stick my tongue up first. Was a real conundrum.
I was 13st at Christmas, I’m now 13st 12lbs. I’d imagine that’s mostly bad gains, but will see... I’ll get to 14.5st and do my cut. It’s been years since I did a bulk and cut, but it’s sort of worked out that way this time.
Been three days in a row and had a good 90+ mins at it each day, including a run. Mixed bag most days, usually involving multiple sets of bench press once I'd got hold of a bench, but had a proper shoulders and back sesh today as it was quieter. Can't be arsed to go into exactly what but it was a varied hour, followed by two mile run. Ran 3 miles Monday and Tuesday. Squash tomorrow. Looking at it though, might only manage two days there next week and will definitely only get there one day the week after. Which is a ballache.
Long story short, you know I work away, right? Next week got to go back home Tuesday to take my boys the match and then back home again Thursday for football training with juniors., This leaves me Monday and Wednesday only (can never do Friday evening or the weekend, too busy with home life stuff) Week after, I work Monday and then head straight north to go on a course, so Monday is out by the time I get there. I could possibly run somewhere random from hotel on Tuesday but Wednesday is United v Barca and will watch at a mates, so that's out. Drive back down here first thing Thursday, which leaves me Thursday evening. The weekend is as per normal so nothing till the following Monday then. I'm a busy man, what can I say?
