@lardiman Given the choice under a normal owner at Charlton, who would be your choice as our manager. Powell or Bowyer ? Mine would be Bowyer. (I would also have Jose Riga back again ahead of Powell, but not the 6/7 other muppets)
Bowyer has done as well as could be expected under Roland, no question. Even if he leaves in the summer and goes to another club where he does badly, it won't alter the fact that he's done a pretty good job here all things considered.
So we have four die hard Powell grovel bottoms on this forum FFS (ok, three and a half) @Sat In Greenwich @lardiman @AllHellLetLoose @baraettmattesvensson (the half)
100%, I'd not disagree on this. Should we fail to go up it would not surprise me if he gets offered another position elsewhere.
The Sheriff knows that you are WUM'ing about Powell, whereas the others actually believe he is somehow a good manager despite only one good season in the dug out at three clubs
I am not, besides what about the second season with us finishing 9th. Selective memory for you Mr van Gerwen.
I’ve sat on a train with you and had to listen to you coat Powell for half an hour You are a cross between @lardiman and Uri Geller.
People who were already working at the Club before RD bought it are not apologists. Especially if they are low level workers (rather than senior managers or executives). Relatively low paid workers have no say over the way Roland wants to run things, and I would not expect them to walk away on principle when they need to put food on the table. Folk like that are not rich. Even youngsters today joining the Club to do low level work for modest wages, I would not criticise them. Made up people like Slade, Robinson or Bowyer; People who don't need the money they earn, choosing to come and work for Duchatelet after everything he has done to damage CAFC. That's another matter. People who volunteer to become his lieutenants and support his regime. People who 'get on well' with him. Those people are Quislings, Apologists and Collaborators in my book. Clear enough?
100% but our Moderator reckons that if you have a gripe with your bosses you jack it in. This has been brought up before and he was universally shouted down. To his credit Robinson did not deny the "basket case" quote he came out with when he was at Milton Keynes. That though makes him the 'King of the Apologists' in my book.
