He finally does something right when the ball managed to find its way to him. Most of the time he's on par with Kalou on how useful he is.

In that case I suppose you want Squacilli to be starting too then?

We played very well, and had Arsenal on the back foot most of the second half, the only reason we lost this game was because of the goal keeping blunder by Vorm, but it would help if we had a striker like Borini up front, I think that if graham doesn't click soon, we could well be in the market for a quality striker, come January!...........

Played well all in all . The goal was from a mistake and was gifted to Arsenal . I do think Arsenal deserved the 3 points , but the Swans did not look outclassed , and it could have been 1-1 with better finishing.

I would have been far more pessimistic if we had shipped goals , but TBH , there is no shame in the way we played today.

aaaand man united score on the 4th minute, making it look really ****ing simple. We work way too ****ing hard to create anything.

Really the only thing i can hope for this season is that we are competitive to Liverpool and get a close 4th. We can't even think of competing with ManU, City and Chelsea. Chelsea haven't looked anything special but they are still very solid and grind results however they can.

He's making millions, you are a kid on an internet forum. I know whose talent I'd rather have

The same Arsene knows brigade, I rather have players with proper talent; not the one that will leave the ball behind and start running.

I was sitting among the Arsenal fans in the upper tier of the Clock end and those around me wouldnt have argued if it had ended 1-1. We had at least 50% of the 2nd half if not the better of it. We did however after having a good spell of passing give the ball away through a silly pass when a more direct through ball would have been a better option.
I agree Taylor was excellent today and Graham has a difficult job up front on his own but he has good movement and did trouble Mertesacker a few times. I am sure when that elusive first goal comes the confidence in front of goal will improve.
After an opening 5 mins when we were on the ropes a bit I was pleased with the performance but we need those goals because "goals make points"!

For me, we again lacked energy, sharpness and motion when we were in possession. We seem too pedestrian most of the time and we conceded a lot of possession to Arsenal, which against teams that play more up tempo and directly (Man U, Man C, etc) is going to kill us. We don't seem to have that drive we had in the last quarter of last season. I know we're playing against better teams, but I don't think we have the same energy and sharpness.

Fair play to Swansea and their fans. They gave us a good game today and were unlucky not to come away with a point.
Obviously you need to start scoring some goals.
But keep giving the support to your lads like you did today and the goals will start coming.
I think the Swans will be okay, but you might need to sign another striker in Jan, even if it's on a loan basis.
Good luck for the rest of the season (apart from when we visit you of course) <ok>

Piskie, I enjoyed my visit and it was fan friendly where I was today - might have been different had the Swans scored lol. Hope we get the points in the return fixture.

Obviously I hope you don't, but glad you had a reasonably good day out given the result. All the best to the Swans and your boys <ok>

Pointless subs? Frimpong looked like he might have gotten a RC? We have a game in the UCL on tuesday, shouldn't we try to rest people? Idiot.

If ManU did this it would be"a hard fought win", but if we do it "we got lucky"

Man U got an equally fortunate winner in their opener against WBA. Just saying.

You can call it 'luck' all you like, but tell me you wouldn't take a 1-0 win like that and I'll tell you you're a liar. Mistakes are part of the game, by your logic any mistake by a player that gives away a goal (i.e. EVERY goal) is 'lucky' to the other side. You-willy.
