Stotfold are moving later this year so this was a great one to do. They play in the Spartan South Midlands League, they won this 1-0 which was an important result taking them off the bottom to try and avoid relegation. The people were wonderfully friendly asking us where we came from, even allowing me to take pictures of the Committee Room. Concession Admission £3 Programme £1 Badge £2.50 Two San Miguels £7.20 Total outlay of £13.70
Programme with badge at this level is getting hard to come by. Biggleswade v Colney Heath in the Spartan South Midlands League sees the protest today.
This turned out to be a really good one to do. Lost for options I plumped for Amersham v Park View in the Spartan South Midlands divison one. I rang Amersham on Thursday who confirmed they produce a programme and then contact was made on the Saturday morning to make sure the game was on. Both calls resulted in the positive. On entering the ground and taking some pics, the Secretary approached me and said hello, it was an easy flier for him that it was me as you can see there were not many people at the game! After having a nice tea that he insisted I had I settled down to the game. Amersham beat Park View 2-0, the windy conditions were not conducive to decent football but this was a shocker. I paid the full amount today as the officials were so helpful and sociable.
The protest ventures into the Kensington of Yorkshire today, Harrogate v Maidstone. If I bump into Chippy I'll collar the Accrington money for Mr van Gerwen.
