    I'm actually a fairly decent cook. But i refuse to follow any rules doing it.

    I cook what i like, and how i like it.

    But i cook for one, and often go for a quick, high calorie intake. Although since i've been working in Mordor, i've been cooking allsorts, so i can take some scran to work.

    Depending on your tastes cooking is pretty easy tbh. Biggest thing I'd recommend getting is a George Foreman grill, only about £20 and can cook any meat on there very quickly and easily. Then if you can boil some water you can make a decent meal with veg/potatoes and the meat. I've been cooking for myself since I was 11/12 I think and I'm not exactly amazing at it but I think you'll be surprised at how straight forward a lot of things are to make and how hard it is to REALLY **** something up to the point its inedible.

    Yeah, I was given decent advice on here last night and then again by yourself, just now. I had a quick look at some recipes before I nodded off. I'm going to go out on Monday and just get enough ingredients to just make one meal from scratch to see how I go.

    Am off to my first bbq of the year this afternoon.

    Guests have to take something to put on the brai (he’s south aftrican) .

    I’ve done chicken thighs & belly pork in my special dry rub marinade which consists of;

    Lots of smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, mustard powder, dark sugar, black pepper and course salt.

    Then made a bbq glaze to apply when the meat is on the bbq. Which was ketchup, soy sauce, English mustard, cider vinegar, molasses, brown sugar, Worcester sauce, and some of the left over rub .

    Just had leftover Thai. Rice, bit of the penang, bit of the red curry.

    Lovely.

    Lamb dinner later on at tea time. Asked for pork, got lamb again.

    She never does beef for some reason. At least it's not the default chicken yet again, although I do ****ing love it, can't lie.
