Yeah it's great to get them used to other dogs and people nice and early, mine gets her jabs in 2 weeks we can start taking her out then.
I'm leaving the house at 12'15 these days, get to my depot, clock in for one, then spend an hour travelling to Mordor (paid). Work 2-1-, then spend another hour travelling back (paid). Clock out for 11, then travel home. They seem long arsed days.
So my local pub closed a few weeks back. So I decided to do some research and walk to my next closest. It took 20mins, and it isn’t too bad.
The food thread still ****ed then? Just got back from Manc, via Birmingham **** hole centre due to M5 being closed, so it's a Thai takeaway and a few cold beers tonight. Duck Panang and Pad Krapow for me ce soir.
Played good golf today. Gross 88 40 points. Could have been so much better too at least 4 shots better.
So, two weeks ago last night my Dad died. Not posted it on here but one or two know. In the time since, I've been up and down the dreaded M6 too many times, drank too much, eaten too much ****e, not slept enough, not exercised at all, disappeared into my own head for a few days, not taken enough time off ****ing work and, basically, wondered whether I was 'doing it right'. Yesterday was his funeral. It was very good actually and it was relief, cathartic closure of the very best kind. I remembered why I've been mates with my mates for 40 years. It's because they're the best men in the ****ing world. I realised why I've been with my Mrs for twenty years. Ditto. I realised why my Dad's mates of 70 years were all there. The very same reasons. Feel good today, knackered but good. Gonna carry on having booze and eating well tomorrow but will shake my head on Monday, take my kids to school, take my time getting to work, maybe even not bother to clock on at all so to speak, and then get on with **** again. Am going to take my Dads lead and outlook on life. Which was smile, always be glass half full, say hello to everyone and be polite. Well, most of the time anyway. Might just have to call a **** a **** once in a while.
