Sorry Col but there has been goading of the highest order especially from Ellers for two years
I find it very insulting when other Europeans leaders and countries are made fun of under a so called default nationalist viewpoint

Infantile? It’s been open season , passions run high when there is a divide Imo

It’s give and take of course I believe it’s give and take and I certainly do not take any offence by anything I read about myself on here and I am proud about that

Life continues either way for us all and we are all lucky just to be allowed to all moan

It’s very difficult to fudge the petition and easily detectable this looks like reverse project fear imo

The world according to Theresa May:
She said there were now four "clear choices". These were:
    ■ Approving her deal next week - which relies on Commons Speaker John Bercow allowing her to put it to MPs to vote on again, which he has ruled will not be allowed unless "substantial" changes are made to it
    ■ Asking for another extension before 12 April - which would mean the UK would have to take part in elections for the European Parliament
    ■ Revoking Article 50 - cancelling Brexit - which Mrs May said would "betray the result of the referendum"
    ■ Leaving with no deal

This is bullshit. The choice isn’t her deal, stay in or leave with no deal, it’s a deal, stay in, leave with no deal. The vote on her deal won’t happen as between her and Bercow they have ensured that it won’t pass, the window of opportunity for this was Tuesday last week. The commons will neither revoke article 50 nor support leaving with no deal. The sooner we get on with finding a deal which the majority of MPs will support the better, but yet again she is burning up time, playing chicken pointlessly. She’s driving us towards a longer extension tied either to a referendum (which makes me feel sick to the stomach) or an election, neither of which will be conclusive in my opinion and both of which will be even more divisive for the country, if that’s possible. Meanwhile MPs and opposition leaders are doing **** all (at least visibly), they should be working to find a deal which they know the a majority of MPs will vote for (and which is acceptable to the EU).

We have all said it before but this is a self inflicted clusterfuck of epic proportions. I am sick of responding to colleagues from other countries when they ask me what the **** is going on “I don’t know. And neither does anyone else”. I can’t even say “at least we don’t have Trump” to the Yanks now, because at least they have a chance to kick him out next year. How I would feel if I were running a company which needs to plan ahead in these circumstances is beyond me.

    Desperate.

What I was saying yesterday really
I still believe it would be possible to run a bot however I certainly know that if set up the bot would also require to scramble IP address data and that requires high speed ... this would be detectable and the volume of the programme would certainly crash most of the servers involved

Therefore the margin of error in real votes is much lower than people think ... but there would be a margin ... also remember that the petition itself will have massive value as to link and validate a name to a email against a valid post code in bulk is gold for the government... the entire project is probably fed and run by them in the first place

Voluntary submission and linked data from static and mobile... priceless

May is delusional. I seriously think that she might have lost her marbles.

I’ll be thinking of you. Coprophilia is my thing though. And I’m a giver, not a taker.
As I said above the petition will achieve nothing in terms of change. But I’m enjoying the reaction from hard right (and apparently hard left) Brexiters who moan on about the will of the people, standing up for democracy against bullies etc etc who are ****ting themselves when significant numbers of people express an opinion that they don’t share.

What reaction G ? I just find it quite funny that a load of middle class (mostly), supposed intelligent blokes on a message board are getting so excited about a bullshit petition, that as you say is meaningless......while all the while real problems are occurring every night on the streets of this country that get ignored.
Sums this Brexit bollox up really.......

To be fair I understand some MP's are trying to find s solution that would win a majority. Whether they are doing this well enough we'll see in the next 3 weeks. It has been difficult when the Government keep trying to get through a hugely defeated deal. Probably will be difficult too because I'm not sure they are capable of genuine debate, problem solving and compromise. Most MP's obviously have most experience in shouting at each other and political point scoring.

Another teenager stabbed to death in my patch in Isleworth last night, so will probably know the crew who attended.
I was at another job at those flats earlier this week (completely unconnected) so brings it close to home.

But more importantly.......how many have signed the petition now ?
