It’s what used to happen to me, Luv. I spent so many years getting up at between 5-5.20 am that on weekends I’d wake up automatically. When I retired it took me the best part of 6 months before I managed to change my sleep pattern. I still only sleep about 6 hours, just go to bed and get up later. If you’re feeling tired that may have other causes other than lack of sleep.
The average person requires 8 hours to recover from the average energy expenditure per day. All this tells me is that you’re a below average beta male, typical bindipper.
im sat up in the middle of my bed rolling a Spliff whilst i wait for my cuppa Cha to cool down. whos that shouting at me from down the stairs reminding me its past 9? thats right 'no one' Alpha male
Anyone who reaches for the alpha, beta ****, automatically loses and is an omega, it’s the rules. Oh and Luv, just get up when you feel like it, you massive ****ing Mary.
Sleep is my achilles heel. It's usually what kicks my mental health off. It's killing me, now. I didn't sleep on Tuesday night. Wednesday I slept for 6 hours. Thursday night I didn't sleep again (posted on here throughout the night) - Last night I slept from 4 until half 7. I'm worried I'll start going a bit crazy soon. It could be worse, Luvvy! Try CBD capsules an hour before bed. people generally sleep a lot better on them and it's a natural product with no chemicals in.
My mate suffers a bit with mental illness, his triggers are lack of sleep caused by tinnitus. I usually wake up at 5 needing a piss then go back to sleep. Though this is proving harder as I wake the puppy up and he jumps on the bed and starts licking my face. I’ve been taking iron supplements and folic acid because of my stomach troubles and have found my energy levels are better whilst having less sleep. I also find I sleep better if I go a few days off the booze. If you’re having a drink at home most nights then cut out the booze and only drink Thursday to Sunday.
I don't drink, at all. It's not my thing. When I was smoking cannabis that could play havoc with my sleep but I wrapped that in a while back so I can't even blame it on that. Sometimes my mind races really bad and to an extent that I can't make sense of my thoughts, when it gets to that point it's virtually impossible to get any sleep. It's a good point about the supplements, my lass has been pushing me to take them and look after myself better. That is something that I could and probably should try.
The bit about the booze was aimed at luv really.. As I know / think he drinks most evenings at home. There are loads of natural herbal things too. I’ve been taking St. John’s wort too. I also buy these expensive pro biotic tablets. As I read somewhere that stomach health and mental health are closely linked. All I have to do now is sort my diet out a bit more and limit my pub visits a tad more.
Seems a bit obvious but I always find regular keep fit stuff also helps sleep. I used to go running and swimming regularly and always had a good night's sleep. Stopped a couple of years ago just because, but plan to go back to it.
