Yeh it needed that. England needed to either pick up the pace or play a killer pass like that to breakdown that 10 man defence! Now the Czechs have to come out.

 

They won't. They'll want to keep it tight until late on, then make subs to try and nick a result.

 

It's got to be said our midfield is unbelievably weak. Henderson, Alli and ****ing Dier (replaced by Barkley). All 3 are bang average and I'd be concerned about them facing quality teams. Our defence Keane and Maguire. Again, against better teams you'd expect them to get turned inside out.

Sancho looks very good.

Fair play to Southgate. He's got them playing above their ability. He's put his stamp on this team.

Looked like the ball was a bit too far gone but can understand the pen being given, neither defender went for the ball, just went in on Sterling.

 

I think that’s why it was given tbf. After some thought...

 

Yeah not sure he was getting there but they made absolutely no attempt to play the ball which probably made his mind up.
