https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47650699 Blackburn c£9m turnover last season in Div 1, big losses, huge debts to the owners! I don't see the Allams running up such debts, but with average crowds higher than Citys, a turnover of c£9m with say 50% salary costs (c£4.5m) is going to see highest paid players on around £4-5k a week. The implications of relegation should be ringing loud and clear in the Allams ears as I think it would be near impossible to compete consistently on such a budget and stand any chance of getting back into The Championship.
Playing bumpkins like Lincoln again. I thought we'd never have to play rustic losers like them again after that win at Huish Park 15 years back.
