This is the impressive amount Bristol City are set to earn from TV companies this season
The Robins have had a number of games televised

Bristol City are set to earn over half a million pounds from games being broadcast on TV this season.

The Robins have been shown three times on the Sky Sports' main channels so far in this campaign, with a trip to Wigan Athletic earlier in the season being followed up by home games against Norwich City and Ipswich Town.

The EFL pay Championship clubs £100,000 for every home game a team hosts on Sky Sports, with that figure increasing to £120,000 for games being played on a Sunday and £140,000 for midweek matches, while visiting sides are awarded £10,000 per game.

With the Robins' home game against Norwich being on a Saturday. they earned £100,000 for that fixture being shown.

City also pocketed £140,000 for their game against Ipswich being shown, with it being on a Tuesday night earlier this month.

They were also given £10,000 for being the away team against Wigan.

With the Robins' home game against West Brom set to be shown on a Tuesday night next month, they will earn another £120,000 from that - taking the total up to £370,000.

Alongside this, the Robins have also collected a decent amount of money from their FA Cup games being broadcast.

Their third round tie at home to Huddersfield Town was moved for foreign TV broadcast, which gave them £50,000.

City's fifth round tie against Wolves was moved to be shown on BT Sport, which gave them £150,000.

That means, unless the Robins have another game shown on Sky Sports after the West Brom match, the total amount they are set to earn from games on TV this season is £570,000.

Down from £850,000 last season, though of course no Carabao Cup run to boost the numbers this time around.

Just to stretch a point, that's approx £1,990.000 earned from the tv in 2 years not bad earnings for a small fry club.
