Quite frankly, I don't care about bands touring Europe. There are many more things to be concerned about
Because it was meant to happen as soon as we voted leave. Emergency budgets, economic down turns. Didn't happen.
I can't argue with this at all. I too disagree with the way it has ballooned. I don't have a problem with what they're doing, but I totally agree that you and I didn't exactly sign up to it as part of the electorate, that's totally fair. Yeah fair enough, once again I wasn't referring to you when posting the sources (my fault I know). But with respect, I didn't rubbish The Times or the Politico articles, and the BBC one I totally accept but I just explained why their figures are misleading. That was disputable though (and let's face it our currency has tanked). No one really knew what would happen straight after the vote. But you can see exactly what will happen after a no deal Brexit because the figures are there. WTO rules WILL screw us. It's just common logic that if your products are suddenly more expensive to buy less people will buy them. That's not project fear. You can literally read the rules online. There's a reason that not a single country on earth trades exclusively on WTO. It's because it's crap.
Really good interview here by the way: It's with a Brexiteer, someone clearly who knows his stuff and worked on Vote Leave. He echo's everything I've been saying about the Irish border being the sticking point and that getting trade deals is far harder than expected. I wasn't lying about the Irish border gents. We can't no deal without either accepting illegal immigration or bringing terrorism back into the UK. Pick your favourite!
Triple posting I know... but back to the point. Wtf happens now? It seems to be touch and go as to whether we actually get an extension from the EU, and do we even want it? Is it not just delaying the inevitable?
it was meant to happen. currency goes up and many experts who were proved totally wrong wanted the pound replaced with the euro!!! good job we didn't. You are saying no one really knew what would happen straight after the vote but you are gospel on what will happen after a no deal Brexit!! Youve already been called out on your facts before by others and it was you who didn't read the links and read whats online.
Come on then gents. An example of this please? You also might want to do a little research. We were not planning to join the Euro at all. Gordon Brown and Tony Blair were against it. Yet another blatant lie by leavers that you guys have just lapped up...
Blair was called out on ITV Breakfast by Piers Morgan about his advice on the Euro and the Iraq war. Morgon - 'You were wrong about the Iraq war, you were wrong about joining the Euro - what makes you think you're right about Brexit ? Blair replied - 'I don't'. Prior to that question Blair was his usual squirming self, but hey you believe what you want - as I will.
You also might want to do a little research before calling people liars. Tony Blair wanted to join the Euro. Gordon Brown devised the five tests. The UK did not meet that standard.
May has officially requested the extension of membership until June 30th. It’s currently being considered.
Well Ed Balls seems to think otherwise. The five tests never came to fruition. Doesn't really sound like a government desperate to join the Euro does it? Have you come up with a border solution yet? Great banter coming from you.
Come on John let’s not turn this thread into a slanging match. The truth is Rob / Cliftonville / Wiz and anyone else who has commented, may be corrrect as none of us really know what’s in store.
The point people (several) made was Tony Blair was wrong. Totally wrong. The five tests were used. The assessments were used to thwart Tony Blairs desire. People are not making this up. In regards to the backstop there has been mention of a default backstop - An interim period - special measures as I pointed out before. This could work alongside a EU-UK trade deal meaning no border.
Its in the thread. You have admitted other posters know more than you!! You don't seem to be able to help yourself. Arrogant and disrespectful time and time again.
If calling out prominent leaver politicians for being liars is arrogant and disrespectful then how do you really expect us to behave? Should we just be nice to them? Anyways, a tiny part of me hopes we do leave without a deal next Friday. I mean, if it doesn't happen then we'll never know who was right . At least the ensuing ****show in Parliament is quite entertaining. Out of interest, regardless of your leanings, is there anyone in here that doesn't think May should resign?
The fact that she was a remainer never sat comfortably with me and was totally wrong IMO, but as a remainer, I'm not sure anyone else that springs to mind would have done any better..
Youv'e be calling out posters on here all thread. Always a dig despite in your first post???? Saying you would not be rude?? Remain haven't lied? Yes they did project fear was lies as you like to say fact only in this case its not an opinion like you post as facts, it really is a fact. they still lie.
