    got to give the permit holder a clap for this , first winner in many years , i recall over ten years ago he had a horse called Irish Guard that used to run at towecester and win occasionally, andrew thornton always used to ride it , i’m sure the connections will have their own ‘ gold cup ‘ party !!!

    J g o Neil, his last winner prior to today was in dec 2010 at Towcester his local track , sadly shut ,a unique track that some horses loved , and wouldn't perform anywhere else !!!

    No doubt someone will say it's one of the worst they've ever been to <laugh>

    Made up for the 50p I lost on Dartford Warbler earlier.

    Dartford Warbler ran his race at least. I am not sure why Bob Ford was 7/2 Fav there. The winner was pulled up the last twice, while the runner up had been beaten a cummulative 140 lengths in it's last five starts and has only run one decent race in the past years before today.

    I think I'll blow my two quid winnings on Hello Youmzain in the 2000 Guineas at 66/1. :grin:
